Indigo Herbs

I've been given the opportunity to try out Indigo Herb's Kick Ass Vegan Smoothie Mix! Since it's January and seeing the number one resolution that always crops up on people's lists is to lose weight, I decided to take this opportunity to try this out with a smoothie. It's Indigo's mission to provide their customer's with the finest natural health products. The company don't just sell their products but they invite their customers to interact, read their blogs and discuss healthy lifestyles, herbs and superfoods.

Introducing their Kick Ass Vegan Smoothie mix. It's organic and great to use before or after a workout at the gym! It comes in a resealable pouch which is great for keeping it fresh and ready to use quickly and easily.

It comes in 100g for £6.99, 250g for £14.99 and 500g for £27.99. This is part of Indigo's first dual branded product with Veganuary.com, a global campaign that is encouraging people to go vegan in January. I think it's something we should all try, especially as the planet is growing in numbers and one day we will end up living on plants. (Poor plants)

Anyway, I decided to combine this smoothie mix with my first ever green juice. It's the first time I've made a green juice smoothie and surprisingly it turned out quite well. Here's a quick 'how to' of how to make your very own!

You'll need:

A handful of kale.

A third of half a cucumber.

...and one apple!
If you prefer your smoothies sweeter, then use an extra apple. I used a teaspoon of honey to sweeten mine up a little more.
Look at all that kale!
Pop all of this in the blender, you can choose to use apple juice or pineapple juice to blend the produce together or water, which I used. I used half a cup but you can use more depending on how thick you like your smoothies/juices!

Then blend away!

Add your optional honey and a heaped tablespoon of vegan smoothie mix before blitzing until satisfied.

This mix is a little bitter for my taste and the honey definitely benefited the taste more. However I would suggest you try it out yourself as I have an extremely sweet tooth!

The mix can be added to just water, to soups, stews and other foods. It has some great ingredients that are all organic and super healthy for those wanting to detox for New Year.

Make sure you check this company out and start out the new year vegan friendly!
