Appreciating Wine As An Adult | The Beauty and The Taste

I remember when I first tasted red wine and like every child (I wasn’t a toddler btw, I was definitely a teenager), I took a sip and it was DISGUSTING. As me and my brother would say, neither of us really drank during our teenager years. We weren’t interested in going out into the cold after school or on the weekends and drink down the local park. It just wasn’t for me and my interest in drinking didn’t really come to fruition until I got to college. However as an adult, I can appreciate alcohol and in particular, wine. And the reason for this post is because I wanted to show off an online boutique wine seller called The Beauty And The Taste which you can browse in all it’s glory here, https://www.thebeautyandthetaste.co.uk/.

I love stumbling upon wine boutiques, wine bars, and independently owned wine shops. I find them wonderful because often enough, it’s all wine that’s been sourced and sold at the venue because it’s good. It’s like they’ve done the searching for me and come up with the best ones, filtering out all the crap. The Beauty and The Taste, for example, https://www.thebeautyandthetaste.co.uk/ is a great place to find wines that have a story to tell.

Wine is probably one of my favourite drinks and when it comes to sit-down dinners, I’ll always opt for a bottle of red or white. When myself and Sam go on a city break, we always have a wine bar on our list of ‘to-do’s’ because of 1. why the hell not? and 2. we can both appreciate wine now. What makes The Beauty and The Taste so unique is that you’re going to find a mixture of fine wines, which are most likely not going to be found in your local supermarket. Don’t get me wrong, I love wine from supermarkets, but this boutique’s offering is a lot more special and tailored by the experts.

I think with wine, it’s definitely an alcoholic drink that has to grow on you. You need to taste a few bad wines until you discover the ones that are actually really nice. Of course, there’s always going to be crap wines out there but if you’ve given yourself the opportunity to try the good and the bad, you’ll end up being able to distinguish which grapes, countries and years are good. A Bordeaux is a particularly good one that I’d recommend and you can visit this site for some of the best bottles available.

Wine Connoisseurs

There’s nothing more than listening to a wine connoisseur talks about how a wine that I’m tasting has made it’s journey from existence to being in my hand. It’s nice to see companies like that, finding a passion for wine that goes beyond just selling it commercially. With The Beauty and The Taste, they stock wine that’s been scored by top wine critics, so you know what you’re getting is pretty special. They also recommend what wines will go with what dishes specifically and that’s something I often struggle with when it comes to being faced with a wall of wines in a supermarket. A stockist’s knowledge will be pretty limited as to what they can recommend. Being able to pair a wine with a dish is quite a complex challenge because all tastes and flavours have to work together.

If you’re looking to dive into the world of wine as an adult, then I highly recommend making using of the resources available online. For example, Eulogy Bar is a great resource for articles related to wine. Not only will you learn more about the history of wine itself, but you’re going to expand your exposure to the types of wine that are out there.

A Budget For Everyone

What this wine boutique offers is a budget for everyone. Whether it’s one of their top wines to celebrate a birthday or special occasion, or if it’s for a night with your partner, there’s a wine available for everyone from this online store. A vintage wine is something to behold, so if you want to try something extra special, then you could push the boat out and see what this boutique wine store has to offer.

Wine is a wonderful thing and my attitude towards it has certainly grown as I have grown from a teenager to a post-teen who didn’t want to become an adult, to now. I’m an adult and I love it.
