I’m getting to that age where I’m literally brooding over everything. Whenever I see babies, I go all gooey eyed and I’m constantly watching surprise announcements of pregnancies and engagements on YouTube. Now I just want to point out that I’m in no way considering getting married anytime soon, or having children for that matter, but it’s totally normal for me to dream what my wedding day might be like right? Most importantly, what I’d be wearing and what my bridesmaids would be wearing.
Aisle Styles has given me the opportunity to decide on my Top 10 Favourite Wedding Gowns. A wedding day, is the one day where all eyes are on you. A wedding gown is the one outfit that gives you a free pass to splurging the cash on something extra special. It’s also a guaranteed confirmation that you will be the best dressed out of all your wedding guests attending.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Aisle Styles has some very beautiful and detailed gowns that are very good value for money, especially when weddings as a whole, cost an arm AND a leg these days. You can get weddings gowns from as low as £0-50 and as high as £550-£600. Compared to most wedding dresses, this is nothing! So it’s an incredible surprise when you realise that these wedding dresses are the real deal.
So here are my favourite wedding gowns, and I’ll even throw in my preference of bridesmaids dresses too for good measure. (These are in no particular order)
I love the delicate detail used in this dress, with the majority of it’s detailing towards the top. I love the sweetheart neckline is one of my favourite styles and the exposed back definitely adds a little sexiness to the dress.
Something a little more figure hugging, this dress is definitely one that would have me cutting out the carbs completely! I love the swan lake style front and the pretty detailing all along the sleeve of the arms. I’d consider this, if I were to have two dresses for the day. This one, I’d wear for the wedding reception after the ceremony.
This off the shoulder dress is a little more traditional, especially with the buttoned down back. The gentle detailing is enough and not too over the top. The A-line silhouette is just right to compliment the simplicity of the top half.
One from their vintage section, this elegant gown has a floral lace bodice with a sweetheart neckline. With thin transparent straps and a light flowing silhouette, this dress would be perfect for that much anticipated summer time wedding.
This mermaid style dress would definitely compliment my current curvy figure. The lace sleeves and subtle low-cut neckline is sophisticated but still sexy. I love the long train on the back too which is one of the first things I’d consider when picking a wedding gown.
I love the all over lace with this wedding gown. It’s got a plunging neckline that is super sexy but is innocently complimented by the lace edging. The shoulder straps are delicate and match the train which also appears to be light and elegant.
This would be the sort of style I’d love to wear if I were getting married abroad. The light and cool cut design wouldn’t be too heavy in a hot climate and the pink cream colour of the dress would definitely suit sun-kissed skin.
Ball gown dresses are always going to be popular as it’s a typical princess dress. This stunning ball gown silhouette definitely gives an illusion of being taller, and the sweetheart bodice accentuates the lower half to it’s full advantage.
I love this short vintage dress and I think for me, it would be a wild card choice. It would be a great alternative for a evening wedding gown. It’s young, fun and reminds me of the 60s – now all I need is the vintage car!
And lastly, this wedding gown would be perfect for a winter wedding. The snowflake-ish detailing and long ball gown silhouette will provide enough warmth during the harsh climate of a winter wedding day. Couple this with a cream faux fur shawl to really complete the look.
I’ve not given much thought to the style of bridesmaids dresses, but here are a few that caught my eye on Aisle Style’s website…
