UK Blog Awards 2017

I started my blog officially in 2014 and my first blog post was on the 23rd April. At first, I didn’t really take it all that seriously. I used it as an online diary really to let my parents know what I was up to every now and then. I didn’t post every day and normally had a spurt of inspiration to do a few posts in a row when I felt like it. It wasn’t until I got down to London that I started to develop more of an interest in my blog. Around the same time, I was dedicating a lot of time to my YouTube Channel. It was something that I was enjoying and therefore would post a video every Friday. I had a lot of flexibility and therefore could allocate more time to it.

After a while my YouTube Channel took a back seat (and it still has but that will change in the New Year) and I found myself blogging more often. I also found various sites where I could offer my services as a blogger and in return get products that I could review and feature. Fast forward to the present day and I’m now blogging every day and I’ve probably worked with over 50 different brands. That’s a rough estimate but it’s likely to be more!

Natalie and Sam
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.

I never thought that my little slice of heaven on the internet could provide me with so much joy and creativity. I love and have always loved writing and I also love the internet so combining the two for me is perfect. I still can’t believe that I’ve actually made a small amount of money from my blog and if anything that’s given me a taste of what running a blog full-time could be like. Sure, it’s not all that easy but I’m determined and hard-working enough to give it a fair crack.

UpYourVlog has become more than just a blog. It’s become a platform to express my opinions, to share to the world new brands and products that some may never thought they’d be interested in. It’s been a promotion for a number of charities and most importantly to raise money for family members near and dear to me. It’s created conversation and has helped me engage and meet with so many people. In the space of a year, I’ve attended live events, press days and have gained skills in working with PR companies and brands both big and small.

Winners never quit and quitters never win.

The UK Blog Awards is just one of many that celebrate the work of bloggers and it’s enabled many to discover and take on new adventures, opening doors to new opportunities. I don’t expect to place anywhere but only to have my blog noticed alongside some of those who’ve been in the blogging business for years. Blogging has become something incredibly motivating for me. It’s been my solace when I’ve felt down and it’s caused me immense happiness. If you have a moment, please vote for my blog. I would love to win because to me, it gives my blog more opportunity to reach new levels. It gives me as an individual more experience and exposure as both a writer and performer. If you think I deserve a vote then please click here and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page.

Thank you and thank you to all those that read my blog. Whether you’ve read one, five or every single once since I began, thank you!
