Five Unique Features That Add Value To Your Home

I really love browsing through property sites because I’m already thinking about our next home. Unless anything changes my mind, I’m set on moving slightly out of London but within a commutable distance. I want to be in an area that’s family-friendly and has pretty much everything that I want in a home. There are certain features that I’ve come across which clearly add financial value and appeal to a property. So here are five unique features that add value to your home.

A Cold Room

It’s one of the more slightly obscure ones but who doesn’t want more refrigerator space in your home? Even though it’s just me and Sam currently, our single door fridge and freezer combo can often fill up fairly quickly and we sometimes struggle for space. I can see why cold rooms are a great idea for storing extra supplies, especially with a big family. Whether it’s attached to your kitchen space and acts as a pantry almost for meats and other refrigerated goods or it’s an outdoor building separate to the property.

MTCSS has a wide range of cold room storage solutions and cold room doors to pick from, so if you’re looking at creating one in your own property. this can be a great place to start your search.

Garden Office

As a blogger, this is certainly something that makes a lot of sense for those who may work from home, or bring their work home with them. A separate space that’s not attached to the main property is a great way to get away from the household to concentrate on work without any distractions. Garden offices are also great to have as an additional space to enjoy your garden space and with a comfy sofa and TV set up, you’ve got another living space to utilise.

A Wine Cellar

Ever since we moved to our new apartment, we’ve been very graciously topped up with multiple bottles of booze and for us, we love our wine. I would certainly buy more of it if we had the space and I think one thing I would personally love in a dream home is to build a wine cellar. Can you imagine how boujee that would be during a dinner with friends? Oh, sorry guys let me just get another bottle of wine from our WINE CELLAR. So extra.

Walk-In Wardrobes

There’s so much appeal with having a walk-in wardrobe and I’ve actually seen a few properties recently with walk-in wardrobes and they look so good. It would be nice to have a space that’s separate from the bedroom, where you can get changed in the morning and have a mirror that you can properly see yourself in, rather than the bathroom mirror which only shows the top half of my body. I think we’ve also realised that myself and Sam’s passion for fashion extends beyond our current wardrobe space.

Home Gym/Spa Facilities

And finally, there’s a home gym and spa facilities. When I was younger, one of my friends lived in what I can only say was like a mansion. It had a sauna, cinema room, and a home gym. I mean with all that, why would you ever want to leave the property?! I definitely see the appeal of a home gym because I’ve found that perhaps myself and Sam would benefit from sharing a Personal Trainer. We both have very busy lifestyles and it would make sense to have someone come around to do a session each week in place of having a gym membership anywhere.
