What’s Next For Our Wedding Plans

Going to our wedding venue the other weekend was really exciting. It’s now almost the end of 2019 and from the start of 2020, meeting are going to be happening and deposits will be going down. With that in mind, I wanted to catch you up on what our next wedding plans would be in terms of what’s next on our list of things to do.

Wedding VenueThis is a collaborative post.

Deposit Down On My Hairdresser

The last couple of things that I need to do this year are to put down a deposit on my hairdresser. The guy I’ve picked is such a talented individual and is currently smashing it in the industry at the moment. As our wedding was still so far away when I asked him, he said to pay the deposit by Christmas this year, so that’s exactly what I’m going to do! Check out his Instagram here and you may see a few familar faces on whose hair he’s done previously.

Meeting With A Potential Wedding Venue Dresser And Flower Supplier

One of the things that I really want for our wedding venue is to have a wedding venue dresser. This is a company or individual who sources all the relevant stuff that goes into decorating the venue. We’re fortunate that the venue is already stunning but I’d like to add some really nice touches to the venue. I’m fearful of forgetting things so this wedding venue dresser is going to be handy to have. They are also a flower supplier, so I thought, why not hit two birds with one stone? Our meeting is currently set up to happen this December, so hopefully me and Sam can pop up to see them and to go through some initial ideas.

Go Dress & Suit Shopping

I can’t believe that this time next year, I will have picked my dress. That’s scary but also very exciting. Starting from next year, I’m going to be really focusing in on the dressing of the wedding venue and the outfits. I think ideally I want to be looking for my wedding dress around June and picking it within a couple of months, depending on how good I am at searching for one, or how picky I could be. Sam will have to do the same with his suit at some point and to think about all the accessories that go with it, like these prices for mens wide fit shoes. I can’t wait to start my wedding dress shopping, it’s one of those magical experiences that you get to share with your mum and close family members, so I’m super excited.

Lose Weight

Losing weight has been my mission for the last three years and now I need to lose this weight for our wedding. Me and Sam have agreed that in January, we’re going to pay for the services of a local PT that we can go to and do a session a week in the evening. I’ll hopefully be part of a gym soon and Sam will also be looking for a gym to go to. From January, I’ll be changing our HelloFresh boxes to be low-calorie and to have as little carbs in them as possible. This is because carbs in the evening are only going to make it harder to lose the weight. My goal is to lose about 2 stone and for me, it’s more about wanting to feel healthy than to be slimmer.

Meeting With Our Bar Supplier

And finally, we didn’t get the chance personally to speak to our bar supplier when we visited the wedding venue recently as part of their ‘Meet The Team’ day. So we’re planning on meeting them when we go up for the next team day which I think is in February or March. If that doesn’t happen, then we’ll need to go up and meet them at their offices. We want the drinks to be somewhat personalized. We’ve got one or two cocktails that we’d like to have made possibly that pay tribute to our time in Aberystwyth, so I’d be excited to talk with them about recreating them.

This is getting me so excited about my wedding, are you getting married soon? Let me know in the comments below.
