A Big Girl Letter To Santa

I don’t know about you but as I get older, I’m starting to feel more nostaglic about my childhood. I recently came across the Saved By The Bell video of the cast on Jimmy Fallon and I then went down a rabbit hole of old SBTB episodes. I also remembered the other day my love for curby, that outdoor game you played used the curbs of a pavement, did anyone else play that? Anyway, what I realized is that I don’t think I’ve ever written – or can remember – writing a Dear Santa letter so I’m going to do one right now. However, this is a big girl letter to Santa, so I’m going to ask for something different.
Dear Santa...

Well first off, I want to say how much of a wonderful year that 2019 has been. I want to say that I appreciate those around me even more so now than ever before. I realise that I don’t spend as much time as I should, talking to people and spending time with them both online and in person. That’s something that I’d like to change in 2020 and make it a year where I re-connect with those individuals that really matter in my life. Myself and Sam lead very busy lives and I’m so thankful to have found a partner who is so equally driven to succeed and to be successful. I know that not everyone has the same aspirations but those qualities are important to me and I often surround myself with those people mostly in life. This year has also made me realise that it’s ok to be selfish and it’s ok to let go of those that have brought you pain. As much as they may have impacted your life, if they’re not willing to make the effort with you, then why should you do so?

Santa, this year has been incredible for my business, I’ve finally managed to go self-employed with my blogging and freelance writing. I get to work from home and although I’m still figuring out my routine, I’m having so much fun. It feels like I’m kind of starting a new level in blogging and business, in that the only way to go from here is upwards. My goals for 2020 are ambitious but achievable and I want to celebrate that achievement that I’ve done mostly off my own back but also supported by my close friends and family.

So what do I want for Christmas this year, Santa? My requests aren’t that materialistic. Firstly, I want my friends and family to continue to have good health. The same goes for myself and Sam. Secondly, I want my second blog to florish into something truly magical and bigger than UpYourVlog is. I have such an incredible feeling about Tilly & Rouge, I just know it’s going to do well. The next year is going to involve a lot of hard work and I’m determined to focus on making an at-home business that will end up being passive, rather than relying so much on freelance writing. I would love to get a start on my novel this year that I’ve been planning for the past year and I’m also wanting to get back onto YouTube.

There really is so much that I want to do in my life and it really is that workaholic in me that’s pushing me to do more. I know I can achieve great things Santa and if you have enough belief in yourself, I know that we’re all capable of great things.

I hope your deliveries this Christmas Day goes well and I’ll be sure to leave you a glass of sherry. It just might be empty by the time you get here.

Love Natalie
