Christmas time is all about giving and what better way to start off this season of giving than with a gift to myself. UpYourVlog has had a very successful year, so much so that I’ve managed to go full-time with my blog and that is so wonderfully incredible. Celebrating your successes is important and so I celebrated mine by purchasing the Macbook Air. My current Macbook Pro is dying a death, so I thought it would be important to start 2020, with a brand new, fully-functioning laptop for when I’m on the go.
Now let me tell you, the Macbook Air is so different to the Macbook Pro. It’s lighter, it has a lot less on sides, literally two ports for charging and I believe, external hard-drives, etc. For £899, this is the cheapest I’ve ever seen a Macbook Air or Pro and so I had to take advantage of the offer. This was part of the Black Friday – which is now not Black Friday but Black week and half – sale and I’m so happy I took the plunge and got it.
It was really quick to set everything up and I’m really enjoying how light it is to carry around with me from room to room. When I’m travelling over Christmas, this is going to be great to use to do a few extra bits of work in the run up to the Christmas week. I’m planning on taking the full week off to concentrate on relaxing and spending time with my family.
Apple is something that I’m totally obsessed with and every single electronic device, other than my television, is Apple. Purchasing this Macbook Air ticks off another one of my technology purchases that I wanted to get for my business and now I just need to get myself a better camera in the new year. I’m so grateful for how much I’ve managed to achieve with my blog and have been making that appreciation noted literally everytime something good happens. I cannot wait to take this into 2020 with me and to share my goals for the next year, which are pretty mammoth, let me tell you.
However, it’s important to dream big, even if the reality of it seems a little too impossible. You have the capability to do anything you can put your mind to and the only person stopping you from doing it is yourself. I like those odds to be honest. Now I just need to avoid Christmas telly until later on this month because I have so much content to write – Blogmas being one of them.
