The first thing to do is to look at cars for sale and all the things you will need for your first vehicle. It can be quite daunting when looking at cars and asking the right questions so if you are unsure ask someone who is more experienced to come with you. They can offer their expertise and help you find the best thing to suit your needs. The main thing that you will need to focus on is your price range that is in your budget. But, remember the price of the car isn’t the only big expense to start with, you will need tax and insurance and potentially an MOT so make sure you leave a bit of wiggle room in your budget to cover these things as well.

You can also look to get different things to personalize the car so it is more ‘you’. You can get seat covers, air fresheners, customized keyrings for your new car key and so much more. These will make the car feel like yours and give you a sense of comfort when you are driving it. If you have children you will also need to look at their booster seats. There are different ones for different ages and weights for the child so make sure you get the right ones as you may face hefty fines if you don’t have them strapped in properly. It has to be completely safe.

Time to move onto the tech, there are different things you can get for your car if you haven’t paid for a top-of-the-range brand new vehicle. AUX adapters are great so you can listen to music from your phone in your car rather than the radio. Sometimes you don’t want to listen to ads and have control of your own playlist. You can also look at a Sat-Nav to help you get from point A to point B and you can protect yourself with a dashcam. These can help save money when there are accidents or even a hit and run. The cams could pick up the license plate so you aren’t spending money unnecessarily when something wasn’t your fault.

Now you can drive and you can try all sorts of different things that you may not have been able to do before. You can look at going on a road trip with your friends, explore new places and see what the world has to offer. You can also drive out of the city late at night when there are shooting stars so you can see the spectacular show nature has to offer. Then you can do some of the simpler things like drive-in cinema trips and enjoying a day at the beach!

What things would you recommend to do when you’ve passed your driving test? Let me know in the comments below.
