Even though we’ve fought our way through what will be some of the most bizarre months of our lives, the pandemic is still ongoing. With that being said, life has returned to a somewhat normality but not completely. There are still various lists for travel in terms of what countries are a no-go-zone and what countries are open for tourists. For some, the hassle of it all is too much and instead, many are looking to do a staycation. Whether you’ve done a staycation before or not, this article will help you when planning a staycation for 2021.

Have A Budget
Firstly, as with any holiday, it’s important to have a budget. A budget can keep you from overspending and getting yourself into any sort of debt or financial problems further down the line. We all have to live within our means and so one budget is going to differ from the next person’s budget. Consider what you have saved up so far and if you don’t have anything, how much can you save within a certain timeframe.
If you’re not great at budgeting, then it’s certainly worth looking for tips online to better your budgeting skills. I tend to use Excel Spreadsheets for my budgeting and I find it works quite well for me. For others, it might be a different online tool that works best. These can help for planning a staycation.
Do Your Research
Research is an important one because it’s good to look at your options on trips away. When it comes to a staycation, you may want to stop somewhere that you’ve not been to before so that it’s a new experience for you anyone you take with you. Doing some digging into new areas is important so that you find the right place that suits your preferences when it comes to holiday. Some may like a beach getaway, whereas others might like a countryside environment or a city holiday.
It’s a good idea to have a few ideas on where you want to go and then you can browse the available holiday locations for the best fit.
Purchase Or Hire A Motorhome
Ever thought about having a motorhome holiday? It’s an easy way of packing up all your stuff and traveling from place to place, setting up camp at various sites across the country. It definitely gives you a lot more flexibility in what you can see and do with your annual leave.
If you’re looking to hire a motorhome then it’s worth doing some shopping around. Otherwise, a motorhome to invest in will likely set you back anywhere between £40,000-£80,000. A great option if you want to remain in the country for your future holidays or want an easier way of getting abroad.
Create An Itinerary
An itinerary is great to have for a holiday, even if it’s a loose plan of what you want to do whilst you’re there. Think about any activities you want to include and whether this is something that you need to book aahead for. An itinerary can help keep things moving and ensuring you get the most out of your holiday experience.
