Keep It Protected With A Hot Tub Cover

A hot tub cover is a great way to keep your hot tub protected from the elements and to avoid any and all debris from falling into the hot tub water whilst you’re not in it. Of course, there will always be things that get into it but the majority of the debris can be avoided with hot tub covers.

Be sure that you’ve protected the hot tub with a hot tub cover as soon as you get the hot tub and replace it as and when it’s required.

Test The Water Regularly

Testing the water regularly is important because you want to ensure the right levels of sanitiser, Alkalinity and PH are right so that you have a pleasant and safe lounging experience in the tub. This should be something that you’re always checking before you put yourself into the hot tub or anyone else for that matter. There are plenty of tests that you can buy to check on the levels of your hot tub water on a regular basis.

Clean Hot Tub Filters On A Weekly Basis

Hot tub filters are an integral part of the upkeep of your hot tub. This should ideally be a weekly habit that you keep up from the very beginning of your hot tub purchase. The filters within your hot tub are easy to keep clean, Take the filter out, remove any large debris and then spray filter cleaner on it or simply hose it down.

You may also want to purchase another set of filters that you can add straight in whilst your existing filters are being cleaned or drying out.

Change The Water Every Few Months

Changing the water is very important because no manner of sanitisers are going to help keep the water clean forever. Changing the water is hygienic and it’s going to keep your filters in better condition too. With that said, it might be worthwhile getting someone out to do the change of water or simply doing it yourself.  Drain the tub, give the shell of the tub a clean before filling up the tub again.

Get An Annual Service

An annual service is very important when it comes to keeping your hot tub in good shape. Where you can, be sure to get an annual service on your tub so that the professionals can take a good look at the tub in all its areas to ensure it’s working as it should be.
