Why is UX/UI important for business?
There are many benefits that come from gaining skills in UX or UI or alternatively hiring staff that will be able to bring those skillsets into the company.
Attracts more leads
The way a business presents itself is important when it comes to setting a good first impression. Even as a blogger, the user design and experiences I create on my site all contribute to how successful my blog performs in traffic levels.
UX and UI design all influence how a user feels about the product and how effectively they plan on using.
Increases conversions
To help improve conversion rates, the quality of user design and experience all contribute to those who convert. By making that experience and design better, it not only attracts more leads but it helps convert those leads into paying customers.
Boosts sales
As a business, being able to give your sales a much-needed boost is important. There is a lot of financial benefits that come with hiring specialist staff for UX and UI purposes. It’s a viable investment that will lead to an increase in sales hopefully too.
Improves customer retention
A customer is only going to be as engaged as the content on a website or social media page is. Customer retention is something that’s better to focus on instead of acquisition. The reason being is that retaining customers is a lot more challenging, with 65-75% of business coming from retained customers.
How to improve the UX and UI in your business?
A lot of UX and UI can directly benefit your website. It’s important that you explore the opportunities that come with updating a website and from the direction of UX/UI. Here are a few ways to improve UX and UI in business.
Know who your audience are
In order to successfully use UX and UI within the business, knowing your audience is important. It can help to understand who the target audience is and how they like to be treated or behave when navigating new and existing brands they follow or buy from.
Your audience may be different to what you thought they were and that can influence just how successful the business is. That’s why it’s worth focusing on your target audience regularly.
Conduct a UX/UI audit
To help understand how successful your current UX and UI practices are doing, it’s worth conducting a UX audit process. Auditing is always a great way to gather information and to understand how complaint or effective the business is performing within this area particularly. Financial auditing is common within business but there are benefits to conducting UX/UI audits.
Consider new hires with specialist skills
To help those businesses who may not have much when it comes to UX and UI skillsets, new hires may be more appropriate. It’s worth looking at what new candidates could bring to the business, along with their specialist skills.
With all this in mind, make sure to utilise the efforts that UX and UI bring to the table.
