Tamaryn’s Treasures | Wedding Day Supplier Highlight

I can’t quite believe that it’s already been three years since I got married. We’ve moved out of London in that time and had a baby who is now nearly two years old. It’s crazy just how quickly time flies, but how much can happen in such a short space of time, too. I remember after the wedding, that I wanted to share some of the many suppliers that I worked with when it came to my wedding, so now I’m going to stick to my word and share my beautiful wedding venue dressers, Tamaryn’s Treasures.

Tamaryn’s Treasures is based in Gawsworth, Cheshire, where they have a beautiful barn stuffed full of wedding decor. It felt like shopping in a bridal shop, but for wedding decorations instead. So many different styles of furniture and decor that you could get lost in exploring.

For my wedding day, I wanted to incorporate three colours into the space: midnight blue, gold, and burgundy. I also wanted to tie in a little bit of the Marrakesh vibes because we got engaged in Agadir. Now, if I weren’t a stressy person, I feel like being a wedding planner would be something I’d do in another life. For all the stress it caused me internally, I was really happy with the results, but I also feel that Tamaryn’s Treasures were very much a big part of bringing my ideas to life.

Tamaryn's Treasures

Like hello? Slay the house down, they did a fantastic job. They provided pretty much everything you can see, bar the table and chairs themselves.

We went with the burgundy table linen, which was paired with a gold sparkly runner along each one. The geometric flower holders tied in with the gold theme, and we had gold lace on the top of the chairs. The gold lace on top of the chairs seems a little excessive, I know, but the chairs themselves were pretty basic, and I wanted something just to elevate it slightly.

The flowers were a pricey addition to the space, but honestly, I wouldn’t have changed them for the world. They were beautiful, big in volume, but not too big that they got in the way. That’s also why I wanted an open-style flower holder in the middle so that people from one side of the table to another could still see and talk to each other.

Just look at the flowers! We divvied these up the next day so that everyone had some flowers to take home, and they weren’t just thrown out. If I had more time, I would have arranged something where we could drop them off at care homes, etc. I really had no idea what flowers I wanted, but I wanted the colours to tie in with the theme.

I think from memory, we had beautiful, deep red roses, eucalyptus, and hydrangeas – I think. Again, I have no clue about flower types, so I could be completely wrong. They did the button holes, my waterfall bouquet, which was STUNNING, and the bridesmaids’ flowers too.

Flowers and Buttonholes

The buttonholes were subtle, but I loved that deep red of the rose against the blue suits. An interesting insight into the photo of me with the bridesmaids’ bouquets was that I was squatting for the duration of those photos. It was so painful but so worth it for the result below.

Flowers

I loved the look of a waterfall bouquet, and it suited my dress wonderfully. It was also easy to hold and made for another beautiful display when laid across our top table. Talking of our top table, we had planned to have a long flower display, but with the big flowers on the tables and the massive tree in the middle of the wedding lunch space, we opted against it and had singular vases of flowers. I think this worked really well and wasn’t too much overkill when it came to the floral arrangements.

Again with the top table, we had the burgundy linen, and that sparkly gold table runner gave the table that extra bit of luxury. Peep the change from my veil to the Mrs G hair clip.

Circling back to the table setups, we had the midnight blue napkins on gold charger plates. I wanted to keep the theme running when it came to the plates, even though the plates themselves weren’t used to dish up the food we had. A bit excessive, maybe, but it tied in the table together really well.

Table placements

The napkins were very cleverly used to put in our wedding favours, which were scratch cards, and the menu I created myself kept in theme with the gold sparkle design.

We also had this beautiful, big, ornate frame to put our table plan on, and I think this was a great way to highlight to our guests where the table plan was, and it was big enough that it sort of stopped people from just walking in without looking at the plan first. Again, the gold colour is tied in with the rest of the venue dressing.
