I’ve wanted to try NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for a while now after it being raved about by pretty much every beauty blogger I read. After trying out the Urban Decay Naked Concealer, I’m starting to dip my toe into the world of luxury/high-end beauty.
I actually went into a NARS store to purchase the concealer. After trying the UD Concealer and finding it slightly too light for my skin tone, I didn’t want to risk purchasing again online just to get the same outcome. I go by the rule of picking out a light concealer to the foundation but that shade was just too light that I had to use it in small amounts.
The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer costs £23 which is slightly more expensive than the Urban Decay. The makeup artist at the store primed my under eye with cream and then applied a very small amount using her fingers. I’m actually a fan of using the finger when it comes to concealers as I like making sure as much product stays on the skin rather than it being absorbed into a brush or a beauty blender.
What I love about this concealer is its coverage. It’s thick, mattifying but has a bit of a sheen to it which I think helps deflect any dark circles or dull-looking skin. The colour is obviously perfect for my skin tone and it has some pretty impressive staying power. I use it around my nose to reduce the redness and on any breakouts or stress spots that I might get.
I have been recently applying this under my foundation rather than on top which is a little unusual for me but I’m finding the coverage is so good with this concealer, that I don’t need any extra layering underneath it to work.
The price is good and does not put me off from re-purchasing. When I’ve found something I like in a product, I pretty much stay with it until I get the beauty buying bug to try a new brand or line of makeup. However, for now, this concealer is perfect.

Apologies for the super close ups and the tired looking eyes. As I put my makeup on in the morning, as do most people, I was a little bleary eyed!
