LoveMeBeauty | High-End Luxury

LoveMeBeauty continues to surprise me every month with their incredible products and this month is no different. I’m actually gutted because one of the products that I received (the Kat Von D Studded Lipstick), I actually left behind in the pub we went to for my brother’s birthday. So obviously I need to buy the full version because I literally fell in love with the formula and shade.

Flatlay of all products

This month’s ‘shop the edit‘ was possibly the best one yet. The company has managed to work with so many incredible brands so far and the quality and size of them range from small to full-size products. And for a criminally cheap £10 a month, this subscription service is probably the best out there if you want to try out more beauty products but don’t want to spend a fortune.

So let’s dive right into what this lucky girl got this month with LoveMeBeauty…

bareMinerals Skinlongivity – RRP £34.00 for 30ml

bareMinerals skinlongivity SampleFirst up is the bareMinerals Skinlongivity and it is the first product from this brand that I’ve tried out. bareMinerals is always a brand I’ve longed to try out but have never taken the plunge due to their price tags. Since dipping my toes in the beauty world, I’ve found myself experimenting with more brands and I love it. The Skinlongivity is a serum that’s meant to revive and maintain the skin’s health, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Used on the face and neck twice daily, the serum is suitable for all skin tones. I’ve gotten through about 3/4 of my mini version which was a substantial 7.5ml and I love how it feels on the skin. It’s slightly tacky which I like and it smells very citrusy. Weirdly, I thought of surface sprays that have that artificial lemony smell and I was a little put off by that. I’ve not noticed a huge difference but my skin definitely looks more healthy and vibrant.

Buxom Lip Polish in Dolly – RRP £15.00 for 4.44ml

Buxom Lip Polish packaging

My least favorite product had to be this Buxom’s Lip Polish in the shade, Dolly. It’s again another brand that I’ve yet to try and their lip polishes that are meant to plump your lips was a little disappointing. I’m not a massive fan of glossy lips and because I’ve tried out other lip plumpers, this one just didn’t do much at all. I do like the berry shade but for me, it’s just too glossy and translucent on the lips. I’d prefer wearing a lip oil as at least that feel’s more moisturizing.

Kat Von D ‘Lock-It’ Setting Powder – RRP £22.00

Kat Von D Setting Powder

It’s a definite contender in comparison to the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder which is my first and only setting powder that I’ve used up until this point. The Kat Von D ‘Lock-It’ Setting Powder is a little lighter both in coverage and shade which I like especially when I want to stamp out my dark circles under the eyes. It sets very well over foundation but I did notice a slight creasing under my eyes where I have fine lines. Nothing too noticeable but this is something I don’t get with my Laura Mercier powder.

I do like the finish of this powder though so I am tempted to grab myself the full-sized version for when I want my contouring and under eyes to really pop.

Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Mercy – RRP £17.00

I am beyond livid at myself for not taking photos of this beforehand and then actually losing this amazing lippy like the clumsy clutz that I am. I’ve actually always wanted to try out a Kat Von D lipstick/lipgloss because I’ve just heard such good things about it and I recently tried out her lipgloss on another LoveMeBeauty haul.

The Kat Von D Studded Lipstick range is insane. The shade I received which was a super mini version of Mercy was the most beautiful nude I’ve ever tried and it’s more or less topped Mac’s Velvet Teddy for me. I am won over with the formula and it has ample staying power so this Christmas, I’m definitely treating myself to a few shades from the range. Cannot recommend this lipstick enough! Well done Kat, well done.

Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oil – RRP £45.00 each (full size)

Aromatherapy Oils

And last but certainly not least are these beautiful Bath & Shower Oils from Aromatherapy Associates that were given to every member for free by LoveMeBeauty (these guys are just amazing). The oils are miniature versions that come in a regal purple gift box and these are beautiful. My best friend Hannah had actually gotten me some of these before for Christmas so I’ve already tried them out. They made such a beautiful body oil for using both in the shower and in the bath. I prefer using them in the bath because the smell is divine and smells pretty strong considering you only need to use a cap full.
