Are you planning on visiting Turkey soon? Or, is it somewhere that you have always wanted to explore but have not yet had the chance? Either way, you might already know that Turkey is a stunning country with an infinite number of brilliant adventures to offer its tourists. Whether you are someone who loves seeing the sites, shopping or even having a thrilling adventure, you are going to find it all in this wonderful place. Down below, we are going to discuss some of the fantastic things to see and do while you visit Turkey. So, if you are interested, carry on reading.
Pamukkale
The town of Pamukkale is known for its thermal waters, and beautiful views. This is going to be the place for you if you are looking forward to seeing some stunning sites as this town borders an old Roman spa city and that’s why the water here is so rich with minerals. You can visit the antique pool, also known as Cleopatra’s pool, and soak in the champagne waters of the hot springs. People have been coming here for thousands of years to experience the naturally warm water which is heated by geothermal activity. In fact, this place is now recognized as a World Heritage site, so if visiting some of these places is on your bucket list, this is certainly one that you can cross off.
Or, you could visit the Hierapolis Arkeoloji Muzesi which is a museum which in English is the Hierapolis Archaeology Museum. It is a collection of ancient buildings including the Gymnasium, The Roman Baths, and The Library. The museum was opened in 1984, and if you want to see some awesome stuff, there are exhibits happening in three different halls which are: Sarcophagus and Sculpture Hall, Little Hall of Fame and Hierapolis Theater Findings Hall.
Grand Bazaar

The Grand Bazaar stretches over 61 streets, so if the 4,000 shops didn’t give away just how large this place is, that number should. You will find some of the most beautiful items for sale here, and you might be surprised at how much you are going to want to buy! If you are worried about where to stay in Istanbul to be closest to this amazing market, you don’t need to be! There are a large variety of hotels that you can choose from so that you can be up and at the Grand Bazaar for a full day of shopping.
Temple Of Artemis
You might have heard of the Temple of Artemis before as it is an Ancient Greek temple that was dedicated to the Goddess Artemis. You may be interested to know that this temple has had to be rebuilt 3 times, but the final form was hailed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It has previously been destroyed by fire, flooding, and looting. You can take tours around this Ancient building, but to avoid disappointment, you should book your tickets early. It is a popular attraction, as you can imagine.
Many of the ruins have been taken to the British Museum though, so if you are hoping to see some of the original temples, you are going to be disappointed.
Blue Mosque

This mosque is closed for around half an hour each day when the five daily prayers take place to all non-worshipers. So, make sure that if you are visiting this place, you research when the prayers take place so that you are not waiting around.
Hot Air Ballooning

There are a number of places that will offer you this experience, and if you go online, you can compare some of the best prices to find which is best for you. Also, various tours will take you around different parts of the country, so if there is something specific that you want to see, make sure that you find the hot air balloon tour that will take you that way.
Jurassic Land
Are you a fan of dinosaurs? Or, do you have kids that are? Well, you are going to be thrilled to learn that in Istanbul you will find a place called Jurassic Land. Here you will discover animatronic dinosaurs, model skeletons, laser tag (just for a bit more fun), a 4D movie, and a cafe so that you can refresh yourself through the day. This place is going to be great for anyone who has a passion for the prehistoric animals and could be a fun day out for the entire family.
You can learn about dinosaurs here in a whole new way, and this museum is so popular that many have called it the best dinosaur museum in the world! How could you even think about missing out on something as amazing as this?
Swim in Oludeniz, Fethiye

If you want to experience this beauty from the air, you can book a plane ride above the waters. It lasts between 30-40 minutes and costs around $100. But, it is well worth it for those of you who appreciate just how beautiful the area is.
If you travel a bit further, you will find what is known as the wavy part of Oludeniz. This is slightly less suitable for swimming, although if you want to have a go, you are certainly welcome. Most people prefer to swim in the calm part though, as it is a lot safer.
We hope that this guide of things that you can see and do in Turkey has been useful to you. If you are heading over to Turkey, hopefully, this has given you some ideas about where you want to visit, and if you weren’t planning on taking a trip over there, we bet you are now.
