The fitness world most definitely is going through a glow up at the minute. When you think about fitness five years ago, it’s completely different from what it’s like now. A few years ago, it was all about the big built men in the gym throwing the weights around, and the few females shining through who were doing it as well. It was those females that really started to turn the fitness industry around. The ones who were prepared to stand up for what they wanted, and make their mark in an industry that was prominently seen as male. Of course, there would be the stereotype of girls being in the gym but just to do cardio, the odd Zumba class. But boy are we glad this stereotype is dying out, and a new one is replacing it with stronger females. But still, the fitness industry is a mixed division now, so we want to focus on all of you reading this, male or female, young or old, who really do have a passion for fitness. We want to talk you through the glow up that the fitness industry has had, and how it can benefit you! Keep on reading to find out more.
The Workouts
The workouts are one of the best things to evolve when it comes to the fitness world. Due to the high increase of people becoming so interested in fitness, there has been a big change in the knowledge that people have about their bodies. This leads to a better understanding of training, a better understanding of what parts of the body need to be worked. Not only that, but there are now more routines and workout moves to do than ever before, so unless you just stick to the same thing all of the time, it’s really hard to get bored of your workouts. Personal trainers are now on hand to push you further as well, so even when you feel like you’re not making any progress, you know you’ve always got someone to turn to for help and advice!
The Opportunities
There are definitely going to be plenty of opportunities along the way, you just have to make the most of them. They say that after around six weeks of consistent training, you will get to the point where you feel addicted to working out, and your mind will always be focused on the next best thing to do. One thing a lot of people are taking to at the minute is publicising their fitness journey. Whether you do it because you’re trying to become a personal trainer, or whether you just want people to see the progress you’re making, this guide to starting a fitness Instagram should get you going. You can gain so much good publicity and motivation from something like this. And, if you keep wearing brand items, you’ll most likely be contacted by one or two of them, and possibly gain yourself a sponsorship.
The Improvements
The glow up of the fitness world has definitely brought with it some improvements that we’re just loving. For one, if you do ever find yourself heading to the gym, the equipment there is now so much more advanced than it has ever been before, meaning your workouts are going to be so much more productive than they have ever been before. The gym environment is so much better now as well, for the most part. You might feel like you’re surrounded by so many people, and it can be a little intimidating if you let it get the best of you. But, you will often find that the people around you will support you with advice and help if you need it! There have also been big improvements where supplements are concerned. They’re now so much safer and more effective for our bodies, and it’s so important to supplement if you’re trying to achieve any fitness goal. All you need to do is find out which one is going to suit your journey.
The Changes That Need To Be Made
Of course, there still are some improvements to be made in the world of fitness, and one of them is to get rid of the last bit of remaining stereotyping that is around. So many people could achieve great things if we just take some time to let them do it, rather than judging. There also needs to be more female gyms available for those who are a little too self-conscious to go to a mixed gender gym!
