Work Perks I Would Love To Have

– SPONSORED CONTENT –

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been in a role where I get really impressive work perks. The past few roles have been just the basic packages that most offer. Some friends and family members that I know have some crazy cool perks and I thought I’d share what I’d love to have. Why? Because I’m bored and my favourite past time is to dream about stuff I doubt I’ll ever have. #relateable

A Company Car

To think companies actually give cars to people to use as a company vehicle. Companies will use companies like Blue Chilli Car Leasing Deals that is usually leased out over a set period of time. In return, the company pays a monthly fee. I think a company car comes in so handy, especially when you start a family and probably need the extra car to do the school runs etc. Some of my family and friends have company cars which makes me super jealous. Even though I can’t actually drive a car…

Unlimited Holiday

YES. It actually exists. Unlimited holiday is actually something that has been trialled by and is in use with a lot of businesses both here in the UK and abroad. Giving your employees the freedom of unlimited holiday allows them the flexibility and balance of work vs life. It’s also been noted that employees don’t always take advantage of this luxury because if they take too much, then the work wouldn’t get done. I’ve found that I’m certainly not built for the 9-5 lifestyle and I hope to change that fairly soon, so with me being my own boss, perhaps I can make this an actual work perk. But knowing me, I’d get nothing done.

Free Lunches

Free Lunches are a great idea if your company has the budget to do so. I think it’s a great perk because not only are you saving money, it’s good for those who may be struggling to afford three meals a day. There is a serious issue with poverty in the UK where families are unable to afford their weekly food shops. If free lunches were possible in most workplaces, it would help a lot of hard-working individuals. Any leftover food should then also go to the homeless.

A Pet-Friendly Environment

Maybe it’s because I actually want a dog myself but I’m really jealous of companies that allow pets within the workplace. I think they would brighten up and lift the atmosphere of any Monday morning and everyone loves pets right?! Pet-friendly environments are very much needed in London because with so much time spent commuting, city dwellers end up paying a huge expense on doggy daycares and dogwalkers to look after their pet during the day. I also would love to see more dogs on the tube because it makes me so damn happy.

What impressive work perks do you have or have heard about before? Let me know in the comments below.
