Boost Your Funds So You Can Travel More

– COLLABORATIVE CONTENT –

The idea of traveling to far off lands is just too irresistible for some, and if you’ve recently decided to take the plunge and head off across the globe then congratulations! There’ll be a lot to think about and plan, and undoubtedly so much to organise and of course, finance. The idea of financing your travels can seem a little daunting, especially if you’re currently a little low on funds – check out this site for more information about investments and investment pieces – however, once you know roughly how much money your trip is going to cost and how much you’re going to need to do all the amazing things you want to do then you can start budgeting and making a plan. To help you, I’ve come up with 4 cash boosting ideas that will hopefully put a little extra money in your pocket, whether it’s towards your flights and accommodation or even some activities you want to try, every little helps. Good luck!

Say no to that morning coffee

We all love popping into our favourite coffee shop in the morning and ordering our favourite coffee to go. However, this kind of regular and seemingly normal thing is actually costing you a lot of money. Don’t worry, you don’t need to give your caffeine fix, simply get yourself a travel mug and brew coffee at home instead. Sure it might not be as glamourous, but it’ll be saving you money towards your trip.

Cancel that gym membership

Keeping yourself fit and healthy is perfect for body and mind. However, it’s not always good for your savings. Cancel that gym membership and instead, make the most of what you have around you. Head out for a jog instead of sweating it out on a flashy treadmill. Take your yoga mat to the park and invite a friend, go for a long walk, or check out YouTube for some simple workout videos that you can do at home.

No more takeaways

Ordering in is the best way to welcome the weekend after a rough week at work. But they’re not cheap…especially when you’ve already bought food at the supermarket. Instead, try recreating your favourite takeaway at home, or add some supermarket versions to your weekly shop. It might feel like you’re denying yourself treats but think of all the amazing food you’re going to be trying when you hit the road.

Cancel your TV/magazine subscriptions

It’s true that there is some amazing TV out there at the moment. The trouble is that you need more than one TV streaming service to access all the different shows and channels you need to watch them on. I’d suggest canceling your most expensive or least used subscriptions or do away with them altogether. If you’re currently paying a monthly fee for cable or SKY then cancel that too. You won’t be watching TV when you’re sunning yourself on the other side of the world. And you can always catch up again when you finally come home.
