Tips For Planning A Hen Party In The UK

– SPONSORED CONTENT –

There’s a lot of responsibility when it comes to planning a hen party because you’re in charge of creating a trip away that the bride to be will love while factoring in the party of girls – and boys – that have been invited. So if you’ve been asked recently to plan a hen party, here are some suggestions for planning a hen party in the UK.

Hen Party

Speak To The Bride

A bride will likely have ideas on what they want from the day and so instead of walking into it blindly, speak to the bride to get an idea of what she’s after. Ask them what they’re expectations for a hen party would be, whether they want a sit-down meal or just a night out. Do they want to stay in a hotel or rent out an apartment? By doing this, you’ll be taking away that ‘not knowing whether I’m doing the right thing‘ feeling.

Set Up A Hen Party Group

Most of the hen party are likely to have Facebook or email. Creating a group on Facebook will be the easiest option and it’s a great way of everyone communicating together without getting lost in a load of email chains or messages. This space is also great for helping to brainstorm other ideas if you’re struggling.

Get Help

When it comes to the actual planning, you might want to call on the professionals and get some help from a company like Essential Adventure. This will help you find all the inspiration but it can also fine-tune the location you want it to be in and what sort of activities you’d like to do. I plan on taking full advantage of the hen party for my wedding and having two, one abroad and one here in the UK. I think I’d probably do something here in London as this is my home but I also like the idea of Cardiff. It’s the closest city to Aberystwyth which is where I studied at university and met Sam.

Surprise The Bride

When it comes to the hen party, it’s nice to keep it a surprise. So you could send the bride to a train station or she could get picked up and then blindfolded as you get closer to your destination. Don’t tell her who’s coming out of the friends that she invited and keep as much of the trip a secret as possible.

Don’t Forget Games

Hen party games are the element to a hen party that will be the favourite amongst the group, so you need to make sure they’re good! There’s plenty of inspiration online but one idea could be to do a Mr & Mrs, where the groom answers questions prior and the bride has to guess the answers. It’s a great way of seeing how well they know each other but equally hilarious if she gets them wrong.
