Trying New Serums | with The Pro Co

As we’re fast approaching Christmas, I am very much looking forward to spending some quality time with my loved ones but also on myself. I got sent three serums to try out from The Pro Co, a company that supplies vegan serums that are also cruelty free. I wanted to give these serums a bit of a test drive during this month and to report back on how I found them and my first impressions. They are usually £7.99 but you can get 20% off these serums by following the links below, so be sure to grab a few perhaps for stocking fillers.

Eye Rescue

Now any product that says it’ll reduce the appearance of dark circles is a winner in my book. I’ve been meaning to get myself an eye cream or serum that will help combat my tired eyes, so this came just in time. I want to talk about the smell, look and feel of the serums first. The Eye Rescue Serum is a slightly thick consistency in comparison to other serums I’ve tried in the past. The ingredients within this product contain Aloe Vera leaf which I would guess reduces any puffiness in the eyes. The applicator makes it easy to apply the product directly to the skin and only requires one drop under each eye. That means that it’ll last me a while. The product applies nicely and feels hydrating but it does leave a bit of tackiness on the skin.

Eye Rescue

It doesn’t provide instant results but it’s one I’m going to use over time and see what difference it makes.

Vitamin C (20% with Hyaluronic Acid)

Now hyaluronic acid has to be one of the most popular acids now on the market and i’m not surprised because it really does perform quite nicely on the skin. It helps reduce the signs of aging by helping fine lines, age spots and dull-looking skin. Hyaluronic acid also helps to increae collagen and that’s essential to ensuring the skin stays plump and youthful. The product is more orange shade and they all have that distinct smell of citrusy lemon. Again, it only requires you to be sparingly, adding one to two drops to cover the entire face. Now this is an acid that dries down very quickly and so would suits someone who has a busy lifestyle or doesn’t want to make too much of a fuss with their skincare routine.

Vitamin C

It feels nice on the skin, leaving my skin feeling smooth to the touch.  And I think this is the highest percentage that I’ve used when it comes to Vit C Serum. Another great feature of the products are that they are 98% plastic-free, which is a good thing for the environment!

Retinol (7%)

Retinols have become super popular due to their anti-aging contributions. As these are vegan and almost all naturally derived, which is a huge advantage to have in today’s society. This one is like the eye rescue with both it’s consistency and colour, a milky tone. This is Retinol Serum is one that you use before bed and it’s certainly been noticeable when I’ve used it, how nicer my skin feels. Retinol allows for deeper penetration for the skin, so the overall benefits are going to be much more noticeable with continued use.

Retinol

Overall, I think these would make for a great skincare starter kit and a great introduction to using serums in your skincare routine. What do you think of serums? Are you using them in your skincare routine? Let me know in the comments below.
