When it comes to CBD or anything with the word Cannabis, it seems that a lot of people still have a bit of a negative attitude towards it. As much as cannabis is still a taboo drug, it’s been proven that elements of this plant can help medically and now it’s being used actively across skincare and haircare products. This is the first set of products that I’ve tried out and the main ingredient is Cannabis Sativa Oil. This set is from Online Beauty Direct, and I thought I’d give you a little introduction to the products and how I felt they performed for me.

The Cannabis sativa plant is a unique herb and has been used in so many different things from food to skincare and even textiles. It contains about 70 cannabinoids and these are active compounds that are generally concentrated in the plants leaves. With the Cannabis Sativa Oil being in the products, they offer a range of benefits for the skin and it’s a product that contains less than 0.3% THC. This means it’s non-psychoactive so no chances of getting high guys! Let’s dive into the products a little more so that I can tell you about how they performed for me.
Cannabis Sativa Oil Protect & Calm All Day Hydrating Cream (£8)
By far, my favourite of the three products. I love a medium-thick cream because it’s one I can wear throughout the year without feeling like it’s too heavy on my skin during the summer. The scent is a real winner for me because it’s smells slightly like sunscreen, which I love. The consistency is a little like SPF too but it also has an earth scent to it too, which is consistent with all three of the products. The cream is supposed to be hydrating and I definitely feel like my skin feels moisturised. The cream also soaks in pretty quickly and a pea-sized amount on the cheeks and forehead work well to cover my whole face and neck.
Cannabis Sativa Oil Restore & Calm Hand & Body Balm (£6)
I’ve been using this balm on occassion when I’ve stepped out of the bath or shower and remembered to apply the body balm. It works both for the body and for the hands. I love the thin application that it provides and again it’s no so heavy that it takes twenty minutes to soak in. I think that’s what puts me off applying body creams because it usually takes forever to soak in. This one is great and I love the packaging of these products. They’re clean, simple and there’s something about the colours used that are calming for me.
Cannabis Sativa Oil Cleanse & Calm Transforming Oil To Milk Cleanser (£6)
And finally, the oil cleanse and calm oil to milk cleanser. Bit of an odd one for me because I’m not a fan of applying oils that feel a little heavy on the skin and this one initally made me feel a little icky. However, it’s one that works really nicely with dissolving makeup and it’s one that I feel has honestly left a glow to my skin everytime I use it. I have another oil product I use for getting off my make-up but during this summer, this one is a better option for when I’m not wearing so much heavy makeup and don’t want to slap thick oil on my face!
The set itself costs £15 but you can also buy the products seperately. You can check out the products on Online Beauty Direct and I would highly recommend the All Day Hydrating Cream. It’s definitely my favourite and I love how it feels on my skin, regardless of whether I wear makeup or not during the day.
