As much as I’d like to vary my content, I do feel like during this time, I need to focus some of my content on the Covid-19 situation. It’s affecting so many of us and for me, I’m seeing friends struggle due to the virus and the effect it has on their work lives or businesses. Cancel All Non-Essential Expenditures

If you took a look at your bank account and at all the things you have outgoing currently, you might be surprised at some of the transactions, especially for those you might not even need right now. When it’s important to try and save money, cutting all expenditures that aren’t necessary is important and can hopefully give you piece of mind that it you are saving yourself some money. Try to cut down as much as you can and with some additional benefits like taking a mortgage holiday if you are able to. It’s worth taking advantage of these opportunities if you feel as though you’d benefit from that extra cash flow for the next few months.

Start Bulk-Cooking Food

It’s amazing how much you can make your food supplies stretch and during these tough times, you might need to make food last a little longer, especially when it comes to reducing the amount of time you go out to the shops. Try and get food that you can bulk cook and them ideally freeze in order to use them at a later date. The more you can bulk cook, the longer it will all last and the more money you’ll save in the process.
