As much as the Covid-19 is a bad thing, there is some good coming out of it. Communication with friends and family is happening so much more and it’s a reminder that technology and the online world has so many benefits. Yeti & The Fox, sent me over their hangover prevention tablets to try and as a 27 year old, I definitely thought I could benefit off these. As you get older, your hangovers get worse and mine certainly have. A lot of us are combining alcohol with these facetime and zoom chats, so I would think after this write up, a lot of my friends will be checking this brand out. They’ve had glowing reviews in other big press outlets like Cosmopolitan and The Daily Mail, so I was certainly eager to give them a go.
So how do these miracle pills work, you ask? Each pack contains three tablets, two that you take before you start drinking and one you take before bed. The tablets contain ingredients that work to bring your body back to it’s usual, functioning self. One of the main ingredients – glutathione, helps to counter the effects that alcohol has on the body. It reduces the acetaldehyde toxicity levels, which is what causes you to feel so rough the following day after drinking. That and you’re severely dehydrated, so drinking plenty of water will help too. Other ways that Yeti & Fox have suggested it helps is through the following:
• Boosts Liver Function
Glutathione is one nature’s most amazing natural compounds. It is stored primarily in the liver but is abundant in the human body, as all human cells contain glutathione. It plays a significant role in energy metabolism, promoting optimum health and increased energy.
• Mother Of All Antioxidants
Glutathione is your body’s natural master antioxidant. It helps your body to stay healthy by participating directly in the neutralization of free radicals and reactive oxygen compounds, as well as maintaining exogenous antioxidants such as vitamins C and E in their active forms.
• Increased Energy Levels
Glutathione also plays a significant role in energy metabolism, promoting optimum health and increased energy levels by protecting cells from free-radicals that cause damage. Vitamin B6 is used by the body every single day and plays and important role in movement, memory, energy expenditure and blood flow.
I took one packet the other night when we were having a pretty hefty night of drinking with friends over zoom and the next morning, I felt surprisingly better than I thought I’d be. However, as much as these can be deemed to be effective, it’s not going to if you’re excessively drinking. We should all be drinking in moderation and although I drank a lot more that night than what I’d usually have on a daily or weekly basis, it wasn’t excessive. So instead of having a terrible hangover from excessive drinking, it was more of that sluggish feeling that I would probably have and that I didn’t when using these tablets.
You can get a single pack for £5.99 or a two pack for £9.99. You can buy the tablets from the online shop here. I think the price is very much affordable as an alternative to taking painkillers. I will certainly be using these to aid any nights out in the future where I’m not wanting to wake up the next morning feeling groggy. It certainly doesn’t help with me being productive else!
