Jolie Beauty is a brand that surprisingly I’d never heard about before but after reviewing this palette, I’m going to definitely be a regular customer of theirs. The Bomb Dot Com is one that everyone needs this Christmas, regardless of what we’re all getting up to. There’s always a reason to get glammed up, even if you’re staying indoors. And if you’ve seen my IGTV recently, you’ll see this bad boy in action.
The Bomb Dot Com palette has a price tag of £27.99. With a staggering 24 shades to pick from, that’s good value for money in my eyes. The fear with glitters is that there’s going to be fall out, no matter how good the formula is. The main focus for me is how dry or wet the product is and how easily moveable it is when it’s on the lid.
All of the shades are glitter so there’s no getting away with a matte or shimmer base. These glitters are something you can use your fingers for or I’d recommend a flat, dense brush that isn’t simply going to just allow the glitter to fall through the bristles. When applying, I made sure to use a packing motion where you’re dabbing it on, rather than swiping it over the lid.
Glitters definitely take a little getting used to but I’m so excited to try these shades over Christmas. I’m absolutely loving that rich red shade, Ignite. I think it’s such a festive colour and I can’t wait to combine it with the crystal clear shade Sugar.
These glitter eyeshadows are suited for the eyes but Jolie Beauty states that you can use them all over your body if necessary. I think these palettes are a great shout for anyone attending a festival in 2021 too. So what about the formula? There’s no denying that these are super pigmented and they cling to the skin very easily. Obviously, there’s fallout so I’d recommend placing something underneath your eyes and using a tacky primer or setting spray to keep the glitter in place before removing the protection underneath your eyes.
The formula though is so buttery. It’s slightly dry due to the glitter itself but you can feel a bit of moisture when you rub your fingertip in the palette. I think this is important to have instead of a dry formula, as that’s just going to stick less to your eyelid.
Overall, I really love this palette and think it offers everything in terms of the spectrum of colours. They’re all very much fitting for a variety of occasions. Whether you’re attending a festival, glamming up for a Christmas party (sob), or attending a wedding, this is a palette you want to take with you.
If you’re keen to get your hands on a glitter eyeshadow palette, then you’ll want to check out the rest of their store. They offer a huge selection of glitter eyeshadows but if you’re somone who wants colour but without the fuss of glitter, then there are plenty of other palettes and selections to choose from.
