My little baby is now eight months old and to be honest, I’m struggling to work out where that time has gone already. I’m already in the midst of planning his first birthday and I’m emotionally exhausted at the idea that he will be a year old – sharing my birthday of course.
Simba is a company I’ve collaborated with before and you can check out the beautiful duvet I received. This duvet is a game-changer and every time I get in it, it’s like sleeping in a hotel bed.
As Sonny is now eight months old, we’re looking at moving him into his own room once we’re back at home for a period of time. The reason is that we’ve had so many social events that he’s used to sleeping in next to me for the most part. Simba sent me a mattress topper, which is perfect for our sofa bed which in recent years, has become a little uncomfortable to sleep on.
The sizing of the mattress topper is a double and I didn’t realise that the sofa bed isn’t quite a double. However, it’s not something you’ll notice once the bottom sheet is added on. Furthermore, it actually makes the sofa bed feel bigger as a result of the extra topper.
The Simba mattress topper is a high-quality sleep product and much like the duvet, you can tell that it’s a luxurious mattress topper. The Simba Hybrid Topper transforms any mattress and has 2,500 ingenious Aerocoil springs, along with a layer of open-structured Simbetex foam.
What I love about the mattress topper is that it comes with a removable and washable cover. This is ideal for parents, especially when I plan to use the sofa bed as an opportunity to feel and sleep with Sonny if at any point he needs that comfort at night. So if there are any accidents or sickness, the removable, washable cover is ideal.
I love the Simbetex foam material, it just looks super satisfying, don’t you think? I did a little test and laid down on the mattress topper. You can instantly tell the difference between lying on it, to lying on our sofa bed without it. It’s just that extra layer of comfort that you need to upgrade the bed it’s on.
The Simba Hybrid Topper comes with straps that you can attach to the corners of the mattress – or sofa bed in this instance – which is very helpful for keeping it in place. I feel like the straps are going to help when it comes to the bit of overhang from this topper.
For those that get hot in the night, the mattress topper is infused with graphite, which helps dissipate heat, which is handy for us as we live in a HOT apartment.
I’m such a big fan of the Simba range and if you’re looking to improve your mattress and perhaps extend the lifespan of it, then it’s worth investing in this topper.
