I love trying out products that are 100% pure organic and natural on my skin and hair. I think working in Lush last Christmas opened my eyes to just how much crap goes into beauty products that we buy on a weekly/monthly basis in the drugstores. It seems that most products that claim to help your beauty worries, actually make them worse!
I absolutely adore any products with natural oils in, so Eden’s Semilla Jojoba Oil definitely hit the nail on the head.
The jojoba oil came in a 120ml bottle with a screw top and pipette alternative. I decided to use the pipette because the dispenser lodged in the neck of the bottle was very slow at dripping any oil out. The instructions recommend using 2-3 drops to massage onto the face and neck and to apply it onto hair and nails when needed.
‘Jojoba oil is from the seed of the Simmondsia chinensis plant, a shrub, which is native to southern Arizona, southern California, and northwestern Mexico. ‘
It’s ideal for all skin types (but I don’t like using that phrase) and I loved the almost orange fragrance that I smelt when applying it to my face. The only issue I have about oils though is that they sometimes can be greasy. I’m not a fan of being able to feel the oil on my face after more than a couple of minutes of massaging it in, which this did. However, after around 10 minutes, the oil had mostly soaked in and left my face feeling luxuriously soft.
I’ve also been using it on my hair but have been using a lot more than the 2-3 drops because my hair is super duper long. I probably used a quarter of a pipette per half a head of hair. Obviously this is an excessive amount but it all depends on how long, thick or dry it is.
Eden’s Semilla currently have a sale on where you can get the 120ml for £12.95 or the 60ml for £10.95. I would certainly recommend trying natural oils on your skin and hair to see whether the current beauty products you use on the market are actually upsetting your skin rather than helping it.
