Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

A setting spray is something I’ve never used before so when I asked the beauty advisor online at FeelUnique, she could have said ‘this will change the way you apply makeup forever‘ and I wouldn’t have been any the wiser. Yes, yes the Urban Decay ‘All Nighter’ Makeup Setting Spray sounds like the perfect…setting spray?

Urban Decay seems to have taken over my makeup collection at the moment and I’ve already fallen in love with the Naked Concealer so I thought what the heck, this might just be a good ‘un. The idea of a setting spray instantly makes me think of hairspray but for your face. I’m thinking that you’ll spray this stuff on your face and suddenly BAM, you’ve got a plastic fantastic, slightly stunned complexion.

Ok so, this was a slightly warped thought-process but ultimately I did think that this might just be the same as a setting powder but in liquid form (well done Natalie, you solved a pretty complex beauty query there…).

The smell of the spray is a little odd. I can’t really put my finger on what it smells of but it’s not the most appealing fragrance. That’s probably the one thing I’d suggest could be changed to make this a product I’d be happy with. My apprehensive face did also crease and wince at the spray hitting my face so I was slightly concerned I’d have panda eyes by the time I’d finished.

Fortunately for me (and my face), the spray actually helped give my foundation a more flawless finish, almost as if it had binded it altogether. I would also say that it give my whole complexion a more dewy look.

Spraying spray

The setting spray costs £23.50 which I think is a little steep but I’ve not been totally balled over by the product and seeing as this is my first try at them, I’m not sure whether that price tag is too much or too little.

Overall, I’m not overly fussed with the product and I haven’t found myself reaching for it when finishing my makeup in the morning so perhaps this just isn’t a product for me. Does it make my makeup last longer though? Definitely.
