Does the thought of buying one more gift for that someone who is ‘impossible to buy for‘, send you over the edge? That’s exactly my thought every time I think about presents. I’m not the best at finding gifts and sometimes I end up buying the most pointless things that just don’t fit that persons needs or wants. I think I’ve gotten better at it but there’s still a journey to go before I’m Queen Bee of the gifting world.
For this year’s Mother’s Day, I collaborated with Star-Name-Registry to give my mum a little something extra special and when they offered my readers the chance to win their very own, I couldn’t resist!
Star-Name-Registry are an independent star registry that had already named and claimed 17,000 stars to date. Something like this is one of those gifts that are unique, a little quirky but can be tailored to a specific person you’re gifting it to.
I received the extra bright star package (RRP £57.97) that was packaged beautifully with blue tissue paper and even included some artificial red roses.
The ‘star deed‘ which undergoes two stages of printing to ensure it’s authenticity, was sent to me in a silver glass frame which will be going up in the Redman household back in Staffordshire.
The deed is made up of the name of the star ‘The Reddogs‘ and this name comes from our neighbours.
Our next door neighbours are a beautiful young family and we as a family have definitely grown close to them. I think it’s great that this still happens and that neighbours can get on because unfortunately here in London, everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. It’s a downside of living in the city – it can actually feel pretty lonely.
Anyway, naming the star The Reddogs, I think not only represents our friendship with The Watsons but that of our own family too. It’s nice to have something, an imprint of who we are, who we were and hopefully how we’ll be remembered.
The company offers a range of gifts including just the basics to a whole star-themed gift set. They have kindly given you guys the opportunity to have your own star! The prize includes your certificate or ‘deed‘ declaring you ownership of your very own star, along with a constellation map that will help you find your star in the night sky.
