Luxury Beauty Stocking Fillers | Blogmas

It’s the 1st December! For many of us bloggers, it’s an exciting month not only because it’s the month of Christmas but it normally includes many of us taking part in blogmas. And with Day 1 of December, I wanted to kick off with some luxury beauty buys that I so gratefully received to review. The YSL Beauty All Hours range was actually because I was a winner of a recent competition which meant I got £200’s worth of makeup. Suffice to say, this arriving in time for Christmas made your girl extremely happy.

Luxury MakeupBlogmas is a month dedicated to Christmas themed content which I did last yearThis year, I’m doing the same. You’ll see a lot of product reviews which will hopefully give you some ideas for presents. There will also be some gift guides for couples, for him, for her and everyone in between. Also, you’ll be happy to see the festive theme on my blog is back up and hopefully if you turn up the volume on your device, you should hear some festive tunes playing! I know, what a basic bitch.

YSL All Hours Foundation – Shade B20 (£26.80)

You know it’s luxurious when your foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle. It’s all about the packaging with this foundation and I just love the black and gold detailing in YSL’s range. I got my foundation in the shade B20 which is a typical Ivory shade, it’s a warmer shade than what I normally go for.

The foundation is full coverage and blends in to create a flawless finish. Does it last all day? Well, I wore it from morning to evening and I think it definitely stayed put for a good 12 hours.

YSL All Hours Primer (£23.60)

This primer comes in a case, much like a zippo lighter. The primer comes out as a pale pink colour and blends into a sheer finish that feels matte to the touch. I love the feel of this on my skin as the only other primer I’ve ever used is Benefit’s Pore Primer which in comparison feels a little too heavy.

The only slight problem with this product is its packaging. It’s got a nozzle which just pours out the primer and because the packaging isn’t in a squeezy bottle, you have to be careful not to overpour.

YSL All Hours Blender (£11.20

I do love a good beauty blender and this one is proving to be a good un’. Currently though because it’s brand new and therefore still stiff, it takes a little longer to blend in the foundation.

Beauty blenders have definitely changed the face of beauty when it comes to applying makeup and I couldn’t bring myself to apply my foundation with anything else other than a beauty blender.

YSL Touch Éclat – Shade in Luminous Radiance (£20.40)

This is a beautiful illuminator pen that helps highlight, concealer and contour. It’s slightly pinker in colour which actually helps detract any dark circles. I’ve not tried it out with contouring yet but I love the versatility of this product as well as it’s easy applicator brush.

Dior LipstickNARS Hot Sand

YSL All Hours Concealer (£17.60)

The All Hours concealer is pretty much like the foundation with it’s highly pigmented coverage and lightweight consistency. It blends really well and much like the foundation, I’ve found that I haven’t needed to reapply.

YSL All Hours Compact Foundation (£32.00)

This foundation is beautiful! The melting balm to powder formula sits so well on my skin. It can also be used as a touch-up for nights out.

NARS Love Triangle – Hot Sand & Rita (£20.00)

This is currently on sale as a set, just like one of the many bauble gift sets you’re likely to see in stores and online. The illuminator blush in Hot Sand is a gorgeous peach champagne and the lipstick is dark scarlet that is creamy and full-coverage. The products are miniature versions and you do get good value for the amount given.

Dior Liquid Lipstick – Shade 999 (£26.50)

This liquid lipstick formula is unlike anything I’ve had on my lips before. The application feels very velvety on the lips but then dries matte. I’d say there’s a slight lack of moisture in the lips after it’s been applied so I will definitely be using a balm beforehand. The finish is beautiful though and the colour is the perfect festive shade.
