5 Things You Should Be Packing For A Warm Winter Break

Sometimes you just need a bit of winter sun. The colder months are the perfect time to take a winter break and escape from the chilly, often rainy weather you’re experiencing at home. They’re also great because it’s a lot less cheaper than going during the school holidays.

Summer TravelIt can be difficult to know what to take with you when all your usual summer clothes are packed away for the season. When you’ve been wrapping up warm in jumpers, coats and scarves, it feels strange to suddenly need to wear fewer layers — your head just isn’t in that space and neither is your wardrobe.

Fortunately, we’ve simplified the whole process for you. Here are five things you should be packing for warm winter breaks.

Simple Summer Dresses

They’re pretty, they’re flattering, and they’re easy to throw on, taking the fuss out of getting ready in the morning. There’s a summer dress for every occasion too, whether you want something casual for sightseeing or a more elegant outfit to wear to dinner. Summer clothes are also a lot thinner obviously so you can afford to pack more than you need.

Another staple item you can wear almost anywhere. Sandals come in a range of styles, from barely-there to bright and colourful. And don’t dismiss the more comfortable styles. They can see you through a day of exploring with ease, offering all the support your feet need.

Of course, you do risk overpacking, but as long as you have something sturdy for walking and something more dressed up for the evening, you’ll be sorted.

No winter break is complete without spending time on the beach or by the pool! Personal preference varies hugely when it comes to swimwear, which is wonderful because that means there’s something for everyone. Whether it’s a one piece or a bikini, there’s enough variety wherever you shop.

You could choose something athletic, fun, glamorous…it’s entirely up to you. The best bikini or one-piece is the one that makes you feel good and that’s what really matters.

A Beach Cover-Up

At some point you might decide to head off for lunch, or maybe you just want to shade yourself from the sun. A beach cover-up is ideal for this. All you need to do is put it on over your swimwear and you’ll have a whole new look. You could even add sandals and statement earrings if you want to dress it up.

A Jacket

Although you’re heading off to sunnier climes, you still need to get to and from the airport when you’re at home. There’s nothing like jetting back from holiday and experiencing the harsh winter weather as you step off the plane.

A jacket will keep you warm and is also useful to have on a plane, where the air-con is often uncomfortably high.
