Men’s Christmas Gift Guide | For Fitness Junkies

– SPONSORED CONTENT –

GAHHHHH it’s that time of year already. How the hell is it Christmas again?! A lot has happened this year with our biggest one of purchasing our first home together. For the festive month, I won’t be doing something Christmas orientated every day – I just don’t have the time. However, seeing as my dad has discovered a love for running, it gave me the idea to write up my first Christmas gift guide. For all of the men in your life who love fitness, this is one for them.

Christmas Gift GuideI have so much admiration for people who’ve managed to maintain going to the gym or keeping up a fitness regime in general because it’s really hard to stay motivated, especially when it gets darker in Autumn/Winter. My own fitness has been a little hit and miss but I do love it when I’m there, it’s just getting there that seems to be the problem.

Fitness Fashion

The right clothing can make a big difference in the way you feel whilst you’re working out. Tight fitted clothes are going to define your body whilst something a little baggier will help you feel comfortable if you’ve just started. Jacamo sells a range of well-designed sweatshirts and hoodies that are great for the cold weather and with their upcoming Black Friday sale, you’ll definitely want to grab yourself some bargains. Quality is important with fitness gear because if you don’t have the right clothing, it can hinder your performance and even cause injuries. A good pair of trainers is a must but you also want to tailor the shoe to the type of sport you do. For example, if you enjoy running, a shoe with good shock resistance and ankle support is handy to avoid shin splints and joint damage.

Fitness Accessories

There are some fitness essentials that can make going to the gym that little bit easier. Fitbits have become extremely popular because they literally do everything under the sun except clean your home for you. From monitoring your heartbeat to tracking the number of calories you burn, this is great to keep that motivation up but to also keep an eye on your health in general.

Whenever I do weight training, I’ll tend to use Sam’s gloves as these are a godsend for keeping your hands protected. If you don’t wear them, then the friction from the weight can give you calluses and they’re not nice to have. A water bottle is handy to stop you from getting dehydrated and I love a good gym bag to keep all your gym clothes separate. I’ve asked for one for Christmas so…

I hope you found this Christmas guide helpful, I’m sure this will be one of my many so keep your eyes peeled for the next one! What do you want for Christmas this year? Let me know in the comments below.
