The most wonderful, festive Christmas Tag is back. If you don’t know what the Christmas Tag is, have you been living under a rock? Because you are missing out. I basically interview myself questions on everything to do with Christmas.
Sounds like I’m going crazy right? I know.
Anyway, craziness aside let’s jump right into this year’s tag post so you can waste five minutes of your life that you’ll never get back…YAY! (Me everytime that I go on YouTube to watch ‘one’ video)
What is your favourite Christmas song?
It’s a tough one because I love so many of them but I think I’m with the majority when I say Fairytale of New York by The Pogues.
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
I mentioned my Christmas Eve traditions with the family last year in that we go to the cinema and watch a film together. It’s going to be pretty much the same but this year will be a little different.
My brother has a girlfriend so she’ll be spending Christmas Day dinner with us and it’s Sam’s first Christmas spent with us so it will be all very new and exciting!
Is your Christmas tree real or fake this year?
It’s fake. I’m not a massive fan of real trees just because of the sheer effort it requires to look after them and then get rid of them. Also, it feels like a bit of a waste of money buying something that we’re not going to appreciate over the actual Christmas period as we’d be away from the flat.
I actually got a great one from Tesco reduced from £75 to £50. Bargain!
The dream location to visit during Christmas?
It’s cliche but I’ve always been intrigued to visit Lapland for the festive holidays. The only problem is that I hate the cold so why would I go somewhere that’s freezing?
Are you good at wrapping Christmas presents?
HELL NO. I’m the type of wrapper that will conceal my shoddy work with ribbons and wrapping paper that doesn’t point out the fact that I’ve wrapped one side perfectly and then the other side is its ugly sister.
I have also inherited my mum’s need to put sticky tape all over the present making it impossible to actually get into said present.
Do you enjoy giving or receiving presents?
I’m going to sound like a spoilt brat here but I love receiving presents because I’m not fantastic at giving them. The difficulty is that during Christmas, my decision-making skills become hazy and I end up buying something that seems completely irrelevant to the person.
I mean, I’ve had no complaints but that’s probably because the people receiving the gifts are too nice for their own good.
Can you name all the reindeer’s used by Santa?
Dasher, Dancer, Blitzen, Rudolf…and I now have no clue. If you’ve ever seen Arthur (animated Christmas movie) you’ll understand that I’m like the granddad in that film, I’ll start calling them Bob, Bill and Phil.
Most memorable Christmas memory?
My most memorable one has to be getting a PlayStation for Christmas – now I’m sounding old. Myself and my brother were over the moon that we’d got what was then, one of the best pieces of gaming technology and mum has the perfect moment in picture form of when we got it.
