A To-Do List For July

HOW IS IT JULY ALREADY? I swear I say this literally every month but this is ridiculous. I’m 27 this year and it’s as if someone hates me because they’re pressing fast forward on this year. So much has already happened – read my six-month update. And I’m going to be honest, June was a pile of poop. I don’t know why but maybe it was because I was knackered from working so hard in May. I don’t give myself a break when I desperately need it and I also need to learn to stop giving myself a hard time. However, on a lighter note, July is here and I have a to-do list for this month that I want to complete!

To Do List July

Sort Out My Vanity Table

It’s the thing that’s been staring me in the face for months and I keep walking past it like the plague. There’s no organisation to my vanity table and I haven’t yet got a mirror for it so I don’t even do my makeup at the table – which is the whole point of me buying the damn thing. ANYWAY, I’m planning to have a declutter and then I’m going to get some storage inserts for the drawers so that everything has a place. I don’t think I’ll be able to get the mirror this month, so we’ll have to just sort that out later down the line.

Book Wedding Register

Another task that’s down on the wedding to-do list is to sort out the book of the wedding register. It’s noted down on my Google Calendar, on my excel spreadsheet and in the two wedding planner books that I was given when we first got engaged. So I think I’ve been given enough of a reminder that this needs to be done. I hadn’t realised how much it cost though just to get married. Pretty sure it’s something like £650. Disgusting. But worth it because I’m marrying my best friend.

Pay Off My Credit Card

I knew I would never be good with a credit card because I now love paying for stuff on there because I know it’s coming off in installments. However, I want to pay it all off now in preparation for wedding stuff that will need paying for early next year. I’m talking about the more expensive items like the wedding dress, the catering, and entertainment.  So this month’s paycheck is going straight onto my credit card. Well, once the mortgage, bills and wedding fund money comes out first. #adultproblems

Read 3 Books

I desperately want to get back into my reading because I have dozens of books that are now taking up valuable space in our apartment and I need to get rid of them. I’m not that type of person who’ll read books over and over again. So for this month, the goal is to read three books. I’m a fast reader so even though that seems quite a lot, it’s actually not that many for me.

What goals do you have for this month? Let me know in the comments below.
