The topic of feet can have a variety of reactions. Some people love them, others hate their feet or are conscious of them, and for many, it’s just another area of the body that you need to look after. However, the feet are a very important body part because not only do they support the whole body, but they also become the most worn. Here are some tips to help look after your feet during the winter.

Use An Intense Scrub As An Exfoliator
Your feet go through a lot, and so it’s essential that you are helping your feet by providing it with a more intense exfoliator than you use on the face or body. Something like a coarse sea salt scrub would be ideal, and then you can use this as a scrub once you step into the shower. Get your feet nice and wet first before you apply the scrub as this can help to soften the skin and to help buff it away a little easier. You might want to follow it up with a hard skin remover from scholl for that skin that’s really being stubborn.
Keep Your Feet Moisturised
Moisturising your feet is a good way of making sure that your skin becomes less dry and hard from all that support it provides to the rest of your body. Try to apply some moisturiser both at the start of the day and at the end. There are also plenty of foot socks treatments that might be worth using every now and again in order to give you feet that little bit of luxury care. The more you can hydrate your feet, the better, so be sure to drink plenty of water too to ensure your skin cells are as hydrated as they can be.
Wear The Right Footwear
The right footwear can be difficult when it comes to winter because there’s no sandals or slides that you can wear in order to help your skin breath. However, what you can do instead is to make sure that any footwear you do buy, that you have one or two main pairs that have a breathable fabric or have inserts that allow the base of your feet to breath. If you suffer from sweaty feet or athlete’s foot, then make sure you keep on top of any creams or sprays that you can use to help with this. Give your feet a break when you can to allow them to breathe.
Keep Them Clean
Keeping your feet clean can be something we don’t think about doing, but regardless of whether you walk around barefoot in the house or wear socks, you are collecting dirt. So make sure they’re involved in the bodily clean when you step into the shower and that they’re dry before walking around the home.
Looking after your feet in the winter is essential because this is the time of year where they can really suffer. Hydrate, exfoliate, clean and wear the right footwear.
