Fashion is something I have a love/hate relationship with and I think that is partly due to not being happy with my figure. However, since losing weight, I’ve seen a lot of progress in my own happiness and confidence when it comes to my body. Goddiva London got in touch to gift me a couple of dresses from their recent collection and so what better way to show them off during a pandemic than in my spare bedroom. Yes, we’re not quite back to normality yet. I picked out these Goddiva Dresses specifically because I always wanted to ‘that little black dress’ and something more elegant but that still complimented my figure. With a range of maxi dresses, formal and informal numbers, this is certainly a site you want to bookmark.
The first one that I tried on was this gorgeous black lace number from the Vicky Pattison range. I love her style and just who she is as a person. She’s real and very honest about herself on social media and her body confidence issues. This dress is absolutely stunning and just feels so nice on my shape. It’s got enough wiggle room for my boobs to fit in snug and I just love how it fits around my bum to give some extra shape there too. The lace drops down to the knee and it’s a gorgeous lace too – nothing that you’d think reminded you of your nan’s vintage table cloth, that’s for sure.
At £55.00, I think it’s a steal because I’d definitely see this in other high-street stores and this type of quality would likely cost around £100+. I definitely will be wearing this during the winter and I think this is certainly going to be a festive dress to wear when we’re all hopefully let out again as normal. They have lots of different party dresses on their site if you’re looking to treat yourself. You can find the dress here if you’re thinking of getting it!
The second dress is this whispy, floral number that resembles a wrap dress. I love wrap dresses and this one looks so nice on my figure. It has a fabric belt, so makes it possible to tighten it either around the front or back, depending on where you want the belt to sit. It’s a dress that would do well for both spring, summer, and autumn because it provides enough coverage to keep you warm enough. I think I’d wear this with a blazer during the autumn time, and for summer evenings, a light cardigan.
At just £45.00, I love the affordability of these dresses. I think they fit so beautifully and you can tell they’re high-quality, which I feel is hard to come across when it comes to online fashion stores. I’m excited to hopefully work with Goddiva London again as I’ve already eye-balled some of the other evening dresses that I’d like to add to my collection. You can add this to your basket here.
Why not check out their latest range here and tell me what you think in the comments below. They have some gorgeous sequin dresses that are just stunning. Also, which dress do you prefer from the two above? Let me know!
