Five Ways To Treat Sensitive Skin

Treating sensitive skin can be challenging and especially when you don’t know exactly what it is that flares up your skin. With that being said, it’s important to know some helpful tips that can help treat your skin properly to avoid aggravating it. I suffer from sensitivity on my skin and have done it for a while now. Whether it’s a type of face mask I use to Nair’s Hair Removal cream, my skin can get a little angry at me. Here are five ways to treat sensitive skin!

Avoid Anything Too Abrasive

Anything too abrasive is never going to be kind on the skin. And with that being said, it’s important to look at the ingredients when it comes to purchasing anything for your face or body. For example, I’ll avoid anything like a coarse sea salt scrub on my face because it’ll end up being too harsh. It’s fine to use on the rest of my body but I’ve learned to avoid anything that is sharp when it comes to face masks or scrubs. It is a case of trial and error with some products and when it says it’s not recommended for sensitive skin, heed the warning. The more you use abrasive products on your skin, the more of an impact it’s going to make on your skin’s overall health. With that being said, try to avoid it where you can.

Consider Changing Your Washing Detergents

Washing detergents can often have harsh chemicals in them because they are essential for cleaning your clothing after all. That being said, you might want to consider changing your washing detergents. You might find that what you’re using now isn’t doing your skin any favours and that by switching it up to something more sensitive-friendly, it might make a big difference. The same goes for your fabric softener too, switch up your washing detergents and softeners to see which ones feel best on the skin.

Try CBD

CBD has become a more popular ingredient within skincare nowadays and even though it’s not scientifically proven, the results of using CBD on the skin may be able to help you with sensitivity. As it has anti-inflammatory properties, it can be a great way of calming the skin. There is a lot more CBD for skincare out there now than ever before, and so it’s worth taking advantage of it!

Have A Good Skincare Routine

When it comes to a skincare routine, it’s good to have something in place to make sure you’re cleansing and treating your skin to the right levels of hydration, etc. It’s worth trying different products like UpCircle who do natural ethical skincare. If you’ve got sensitive skin, then it can certainly be a good one to try first.

Take Off Your Makeup Properly

Taking off your makeup is very important because there are lots of bacteria and dirt that can build up on the skin, not just the makeup. If you’re letting your pores suffocate, then it’s going to damage your skin and this could lead to earlier signs of aging. Be sure to take off all your makeup before getting into bed and if you can, try to incorporate some form of skincare routine. By moisturising and using exfoliations every so often, it can help treat the skin with a bit of care and attention.
