It’s getting noticeably cooler here in London and I’m slightly panicking about not having enough warm clothes to help with this weather transition that always happens in September. It’s been unusually humid for the last couple of weeks but only recently has temperature dipped. Freshly Cosmetics sent me along some of their skincare to try out, to help keep my body hydrated and protected over Autumn.
First up is the Firming Body Cream with Caffeine (£23.00). Now I spotted this being reviewed on another blogger’s site and so when they contacted me to review it, I was super excited because it just sounds so good. Body creams are pretty rare in my skincare routine as I normally just focus on my face. I often find during the colder months that my legs become pretty dry and so do my elbows and hands.
I’ve now used this a couple of times after having a shower and it’s definitely become a firm favourite now. I also love the packaging which I think is made out of metal rather than plastic and for me that makes it feel more luxurious. Freshly Cosmetics prides it’s self on 100% toxic-free products that are also completely natural. Such traits in skincare are becoming more popular and highly sought after so to have something that I know is free from chemicals is great.
The firming body cream is a medium weight consistency and absorbs in the skin fairly quickly. It doesn’t feel greasy and the scent is a zesty orange and lemon which is perfect for using to wake you up in the morning. The ingredients within the cream, helps firm and hydrate the skin and also aids the process of toxic-elimination that naturally occurs in the body with the help of the ginger, cucumber and witch hazel that the cream is made up of.
I also got sent the Multi-Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer which was quite the surprise as I only expected to be reviewing the body cream. Facial Moisturizers are a important step in a skincare routine and having one that can reduce skin redness is perfect for me as I’m always getting flushed cheeks during the cold spells.
The facial moisturizer is slightly orange in colour and has an array of antioxidants such as lingonberry that helps rid the skin of any impurities and also has a vegan hyaluronic acid which helps increase hydration in the skin. Again, like the body cream, it’s a light to mid-weight cream that sinks into the skin quickly.
I’ve changed how I’ve been applying my moisturizer by gently rubbing and then pressing it into the skin. Before I was just rubbing it which I think leaves my skin feeling more worn out than relaxed. At £26.00, this moisturizer is suitable for all skin types and I’ll definitely be using this throughout Autumn and Winter.
I’m really impressed by this brand and already find myself looking into their other products. I love how clean the products are from it’s 100% toxic free promise to the stylish packaging.
Make sure you check out their entire range on the website and let me know in the comments below, what products you’d try.
