During this pandemic, we’re all obsessing over keeping our hands clean and making sure we stay healthy. No one wants to get this virus but it’s definitely served as a reminder for most of us that we need to take more care of our general health. Here are some tips to take care of your health both during this lockdown and once we’re out of this mess too!

Schedule In Regular Exercise
I’m a stickler for this because I’m still trying to incorporate more of it into my routine. What’s certainly helped myself and Sam is the personal training sessions we’ve been having weekly and as we’ve been in lockdown and our outgoings have reduced somewhat, we’ve decided to put that extra money towards an additional session per week, so we’re doing two now. We’d got ourselves in a routine before the lockdown where we were managing to go to the gym three or four times a week and even though the results are showing still, it’s a shame that we got into a groove. I don’t like running but I love weighted workouts and circuits. You don’t have to like what everyone else likes, otherwise you wouldn’t keep up with it. Find something you enjoy and try to incorporate it into your routine every day or at least every other day.
Make Sure To Attend All Your Medical Appointments
Medical appointments are a must but I’m not one to judge as I still haven’t got myself registered with the dentist yet. I have a fear of it so I certainly want to pluck up the courage and to go to one that’s possibly going to be a bit more expensive but they’ll be able to help me with the fear I have about going. As much as you may feel healthy on the outside, there might be things underlying that you aren’t aware of and can only be found by those in a medical profession. Whether it’s ENT Disorders or the annual eyesight checkup, they’re all essential.
Keep Up A Social Life
Your mental wellbeing is just as important as your physical health. In fact, if you allow yourself to neglect your mental health, it can have damaging effects on your physical health. Keeping up a social life is important and one that you definitely need to focus on during times like this where none of us are really getting out much. Try to connect with friends and family members on a regular basis. The more you can connect with people both physically and over the phone or internet, the better.
Practice Good Hygiene
Good hygiene is important because it’s a basic thing we all need to do in order to keep our bodies clean and healthy. When we start neglecting our hyigene, that can have an impact on our social lives, the way we feel about ourselves and the physical damage that it can do to your body. Keep yourself clean, make sure you’re brushing your teeth every day and taking a shower as often as you can to help keep clean.
Look After Your Ears
Your ear health is important and if you don’t look after them, any issues that tend to arise from it can often result in other bodily pain and problems. One way of keeping your ears healthy is by getting the ear wax removed where there’s an excessive amount of buildup.
Eat Healthily
Eating healthily is an obvious suggestion when it comes to keeping yourself fit and healthy in general. Food is fuel that we all need for energy but some of us can abuse this relationship and perhaps overindulge too often without balancing it with good food and exercise. I’m someone who personally loves food too much to go on any fad or strict diet plans. However, the plan I’m on with my personal trainer is a good amount because I’m working out regularly enough to indulge every so often.
