A Chocolate Filled Easter | with Thorntons

Easter may have been and gone but I’m still grinning from ear to ear, knowing I’ve worked with Thorntons on a blog collaboration. It’s one of those brands that has been a love of mine for so long and when I received their Easter hamper of goodies, I screamed with delight.

Thorntons*This is a gifted collaboration.

It has to be said, that much like last year, the Easter holidays have been a weird one and probably a harder one this year than previous. We went into lockdown here in London earlier than most areas of the country and we didn’t get to spend any time with our family over Christmas. Suffice to say, it was a tough one. So when I received these sweet treats from Thorntons, I was overjoyed and who doesn’t love chocolate? In the hamper, I received two yummy chocolate eggs, one milk chocolate, and one dark. I also got some vanilla fudge and strawberry dreams but those went into my belly pretty much straight away.

Thorntons has always been one of those chocolate suppliers where I’d go for treating myself or when I want to treat friends and family to something a little more luxurious than other local corner-store chocolate. We definitely appreciated this arrival after a fairly quiet start to the year with having been in lockdown for so long.

However, I took the Easter holidays as a time to reflect on what I appreciate in life, one being good chocolate! Here are some of the other things that I’m grateful for this year.

Family Health

My brother recently found out that his fiance was pregnant with twins, so that’s like a crazy exciting time. I’m grateful that everyone in my family has their health and although we had a scare recently with my grandad, he’s doing fine. In a pandemic like this, we have to be appreciative of what we have health-wise!

Our Ronnie

Ronnie, our almost six-month Cockapoo has been a life-saver for us during the second lockdown. We appreciate him so much for bringing a lot of happiness and love into our lives, despite the ongoing situation of COVID-19. It also helps that he’s super cute – which comes in use when he’s being stroppy fur-toddler.

The Internet & Technology

I know it’s a bit of a random one but jeez imagine how difficult it would be if we didn’t have the internet or access to technology that we do have now? There would be a lot more heartache and pain for many who have to spend time apart and perhaps don’t live locally to their friends and family. I’m so grateful for what we have.

Thanks to Thorntons for sending over this delicious package during the Easter holidays. I’ve been so busy with work recently (another thing to be thankful for), that I’ve needed a pick me up in the form of chocolate and other sweet treats. Have you tried Thorntons’ chocolate before? Let me know in the comments below, including what you got up to this Easter.
