Prepare to swoon at these stock-worthy photos that I took for this blog post. I mean I did pretty well considering I’ve had to cope with a very narrow lens. Basically, being the clumsy clutz that I am, I managed to drop my camera which broke the lens attached to it (which I later realised was quite pricey). Therefore, I’m currently saving for a new lens, preferably second hand so it’s cheaper! Anyway back to the blog!
Huel is defined by the company as the future of food. Established by nutritional expert James Collier, Huel is very much food but in a fine powdered form. They came in four big ass bags, two unflavoured and two vanilla, with a his and hers shaker (how adorable). Huel contains all the essential amino acids, essential fatty acids and at least 100% of the European ‘Union’s Daily Recommended Amounts‘ of all 26 essential vitamins and minerals. That’s a lot of essential-ness!

Huel’s powder has little red and yellow flecks in it that have natural phytonutrients lutein and zeaxanthin, antioxidants that both have a role in eye health, as well as lycopene which is associated with reducing the risk of some cancers. Now, with most shakes we prefer to use milk but we thought we’d (or should I say the boys) give it a go with just water. Now unfortunately, the powder with water just isn’t for us. I’ve not yet tried it with milk but I will be doing so over the next few days. I’m also going to try implementing it into some food products such pancakes and CAKES! I mean what’s better than eating a cake and knowing it’s good for you?!
Be sure to look out for another blog post in the coming weeks featuring some delicious delights! Huel costs £45 for the equivalent of 14,000 calories which is 28 meals at 500 calories each. So that means per meal it’s just £1.49 if you subscribe. Check out their website here for more details. They also do sample products for £4, so you can try before you fully buy!
