5 Christmas Traditions I Do Every Year

We all have our own ways that we celebrate Christmas and sometimes without knowing, they become a tradition that you do every year. For the past few years I’ve definitely noticed a few traditions of my own and I thought I’d share with you 5 Christmas Traditions I Do Every Year!

I am always sure to take photos when I go back home for Christmas. It normally happens on the day or the day after I come home. Most of my Facebook friends will realise I am back for the holidays as there ends up being an album full of selfies and poses with my family.

Movie Night on Christmas Eve

Popcorn

For a few years now we’ve taken a trip to the cinema on Christmas Eve as a family. I think it’s probably the best way of getting us all into the same room to watch something together. Normally if we’re at home, the chances of watching a film on the television leads to distractions aka our mobile phones. Last year we saw Star Wars The Force Awakens and the year before that it was Paddington Bear. I wonder what it will be this Christmas?!

No sleep on Christmas Eve

Dear Santa sign

I don’t know why but for some reason I’m always too excited to go sleep on Christmas Eve because hey Santa is coming to town and the buildup to Christmas is coming to a climactic end. Let’s be honest, Christmas Day itself is a long and food-fuelled occasion (for our household anyway) and it’s just a great opportunity to spend quality time with the family. But for the past few years I have very little sleep on Christmas Eve!

Baileys Galore

Baileys Bottles

It’s the only time of year where we have Baileys because any other time of the year just seems so wrong. Why? Because it’s mine and mother’s personal mission to get through a bottle…or two of Baileys. We always tend to go for the original though so I might buy a bottle extra in a different flavour! #atreatformeandmummy

Christmas Day Make-up

I always go for red lippy on Christmas day. I don’t think I’ve ever not done it since I started properly wearing make-up. I just love wearing red on Christmas Day and whether that’s a red onesie, my red fluffy dressing gown or red lipstick, I am only in true festive spirit when I’m donning something red.
