So we’re already into our second month of 2019 and I feel like this year is going to race by but I’m finally facing the fact that time just goes too fast. So I’m embracing February after having a whirlwind start to the year, which I’m going to tell you all about in this post. But firstly let’s talk about how gorgeous this cream knitted jumper is from FemmeLuxe UK.
FemmeLuxe UK is a brand that I’ve only just come across myself and it appears to also be prominent in the US too. I picked out a few pieces that got sent to me and unfortunately this was the only one that really suited me. And that’s fine because often with online stores, not everything is going to look as good as it does in the photos. That’s why I love shopping in-store because you can try things on beforehand.
This Stone Bardot Cable Knit Oversized Jumper is a steal at £13.99 and I am obsessed by the comfort when it comes to this jumper. I love oversized tops because they swallow your body up and make you look hella fit. I’m trying to buy more fitted pieces but as I’m hoping to hit the gym more this month, I don’t want to buy anything that I’m just going to end up throwing out in a few months.
So January was a busy month for me. Firstly I managed to hit my new target for the month financially which makes me very excited about my future career prospects. I want to end up making my blog a full-time career and I know I can do it as long as I’m consistent and that I work smarter this year. I was also meant to launch my new blog Tilly & Rouge at the end of the month but because UpYourVlog was so busy and I had a lot of other freelance writing work to complete, the launch is being pushed back. I also want to get a few posts up on the site ready so that it looks a bit busier than it is currently. I also need to go about creating some separate social media handles for the site. It’s all very exciting but it’s a lot to take on, especially with a full-time job.
Speaking of full-time jobs, I’ve actually got a new one that I’m starting at the beginning of March. It’s a Communications Executive role, which I am beyond excited to get started on. It’ll be such a great learning experience for me because I’ll be taught more about marketing and PR which is something I have no clue about. This and contacting journalists on the regular will only benefit my blog further so I’m really looking forward to this next chapter in my career. I’m not going to let it affect my blog as I will continue to do this on the side but I may have to slow down a little while I get used to the new role.
I also gave UpYourVlog a brand new theme, courtesy of Pipdig and I’m starting to experiment more with my photography and how I edit and display them on my blog. I had a lot of fun shooting this look and my favourite bit about this jumper is the flared sleeves. It’s a style that I love and it just gives a bit of oomph to an otherwise plain outfit.
FemmeLuxe UK has got a great range of outfits to choose from and I’m slightly disappointed that more of the outfits didn’t suit me but I’m pretty happy with this knit jumper and it’s definitely going to be in my wardrobe as part of my workwear.
So I’m really looking forward to what February has to offer. I’ve had a nice few days off this past weekend so that I can get ahead of updating the blogs on my site and I have a few days off between my old job and my new one to get some more outfits for work and casual and to just relax. Also, me and Sam have our first wedding of the year next weekend, very excited about that!
