Oh dear god, why is time going so quickly? I remember when I turned 22 and I thought my life was over (I joke, I’m totally over hamming this) but 27?! That’s three years away from turning 30. It’s now at this point that I’ve realised my body is getting old like it’s the taste of what’s to come. The groan of getting up after sitting on the floor or the fact my body is trying to force me to wake up at 8 am on a weekend. I’M NOT A MORNING PERSON OK?! Turning 27 is a bit of an odd one but I’m already thinking about what I’d like to do for it.

A Trip To Santorini
Santorini is one place that’s on my travel bucket list. There’s something about white-washed walls set against the backdrop of crystal clear, blue waters that are just calling me to go. I think it would certainly be a lovely treat for myself and Sam to have a long weekend there. Early November is actually a good time to visit Santorini because it’s obviously outside of any school holidays and the weather is usually around 18-20° which in comparison to what will then be a British winter, will be E-V-E-R-T-H-I-N-G.
Couple’s Holiday
A few of my besties have been chatting about doing a couple’s holiday away, perhaps to cottage setting or an Airbnb. Preferably with a hot tub of course because that makes any trip away great, right?! I think our plan was to go in October time but it would be nice to do it around my birthday, although we’re saving for a wedding at the moment so perhaps not. It’s more likely to be one we do in the New Year.
A Meal With The Family
I don’t get to see enough of my family with living in London but when they do come down, we tend to go to the same places when eating out. However, since our financial situation has changed, I can afford to take my parents out to try new places. I tend to use websites like Square Meal because you can find a variety of places on there and define it by cuisine. There’s everything from private dining restaurants to events and party spaces, so there’s a lot to choose from. It would certainly be nice to have a meal with the family at some point during November. Whether that’s here in London or up in Stoke-on-Trent, who knows!
A Spa Break
The way I’m working at the moment isn’t healthy. I’m giving myself no downtime to relax and even though I’ve had a trip to Amsterdam this year, it wasn’t one that was relaxing in any way. We were up and about exploring the city, which was nice, don’t get me wrong! However, I do feel like I’m craving a spa weekend away. With so much more time spent on the computer, my back is certainly feeling it and my head could probably do with a nice massage too. If my partner Sam is reading this – hint hint, nudge nudge.
Do you have a birthday coming up? Let me know your plans in the comments below.
