Update On My Hair Growth

So for my wedding in 2021, I’m planning on going back to the hair length that I used to have before I chopped it all off for charity. To be honest, I’m really only growing my hair because I know the longer hair is going to look good for the wedding. I definitely like my hair when it’s shorter and I think I’d probably hack it all off again by the time I go on my honeymoon. But hey, maybe I’ll fall in love with my hair all over again? I wanted to give you guys an update on how my hair growth is doing.

Anyone who has tried to grow their hair out before will understand that there’s a stage in your hair where it’s at a weird length and I’ve hit that point. It’s like it doesn’t know if it’s long or short but it’s gone slightly past the shoulder length stage. I’ll never get over the point at which I’d cut it really short and the hairbrush would only last for so long as I ran it through my hair. Now, it’s getting to that point where it’s lasting a little longer and my hair is definitely molting a lot more.

Keeping my hair healthy is important because eventually, at some point over the summer, I’m going to get a balayage. It’s something that I’ve wanted for a while when I eventually get long hair because I think it gives the hair a bit of depth and I mean, how pretty are these versions:

I am thinking that the caramel tones are going to suit my hair growth the most and so these are probably the two photos I’d take in with them when it comes to getting it done. Of course, I’ve still got a ways to go until my hair gets to that length, but I’m doing everything I can in order to help it grow quicker. I’ve been using Cel MD which is a science-based haircare brand and I’ve noticed a visible difference in the health of my hair. There’s less breakage and it feels a lot better when I use both the shampoo and conditioner.

I’m also taking hair and collagen vitamins at the moment because as you get older, the production of collagen in your body could do with a little boost. Collagen is what keeps your nails growing, your hair growing and your skin look plump and glowy. The Bioglan Beauty Collagen Gummies are definitely something I’d recommend as they taste nice and a lot of gummies I’ve tried in the past do have a weird taste to them.

So overall, I’m on good track to growing my hair to the desired length hopefully by summer as it would be nice to get the balayage done in time for the nice weather! I also would like to try the hair treatment to make sure it’s definitely something that’s for me.
