So this pandemic has certainly been disastrous for so many people and it’s taken so many people’s lives. I think me and my partner included, underestimated just how out of control this situation would be. We’re into our third month of lockdown and as much as it feels like forever, those three months have definitely gone fast. Like many of those out there, I’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster and I still now have days where I feel like we’re never going to get out of this. However, what it has done has inspired me to push harder at my dreams, and here’s why COVID-19 is the best time to work on your own dreams.
Now whether you do absolutely nothing during this lockdown or make every day as productive as the next, there’s no wrong or right way. But during this time where you might be on furlough or perhaps have lost your job due to COVID-19, you can make good use of this time by pursuing your own dreams and aspirations.
More Free Time Than You Would Usually Have
Let’s be honest, for those who are in a position where they have all the free time in the world, when are you going to get an opportunity like this again? The answer is pretty much never. You want to seize this opportunity and make use of this time to the fullest. I have been working on my social content more than ever and I’m a dab hand at Tik Tok. I am definitely trying to come up with new ideas for anything social media related and trying to push myself more to be consistent. It’s sites like Matt Redhawk that are worth exploring when you’re trying to bring your ideas to life.
There’s Very Little Distraction
When it comes to your daily life, there tends to be a lot of distractions that can stop you from getting your work done. Family life and friends to meet up with and other work commitments can put that dream to write a book or to practice photography, can end up taking a back seat. It’s certainly worth trying to make use of this time where you’re not going to get interrupted or distracted.
Additional Savings Available
Not everyone is saving money but for me and Sam, this has been a really fortunate time to be able to s save for our wedding and to pay off any debts we have. Seeing as we’re not going out anytime soon, we’re saving a lot of money as a result. When you having these extra savings, why not try and put them towards something like a business idea or something that you’ve wanted to do for a while but has just cost too much money?
It Gives You Hope
As much as this time is a little bleak for many, working on dreams and ideas can be a way to distract yourself from what’s going on in the world. Not only that but it gives you hope in a time where you’ll most likely need it. Seeing a light at the end of this tunnel is important!
