Removing Fake Tan | With Rose and Caramel

One of the downsides to having a fake tan is that point where it starts getting patchy. Not all fake tans simply fade away effortlessly and some can take a lot of scrubbing to get off. This can be something that’s irritating for my skin and so I just tend to let it fade away. Rose and Caramel sent me their fake tan remover to try out and I was excited to see how this product would work for those fake tan patches that a lot of us can tend to get when we wear it.

Rose & Caramel Tan Remover*This post contains gifted content.

The bottle is 500ml and you are supposed to use 50ml in each bath you take. That means you’ll get 10 baths out of the bottle and my tan tends to last for about a week before it starts to become patch so if you’re applying your tan every week, you’ll be able to get a couple month’s use out of this product. I think for £18.39, that’s reasonable and the product also comes with an exfoliating mitt to buff away those hard to tackle areas.

As soon as you put the product into the bathtub, the water starts to foam up pretty quickly. I filled the bathtub fairly high so that I could submerge my body entirely and that way, the product could properly get to work. What I will say is that I don’t think I stayed in long enough for it to work fully and I forgot to use the exfoliating mitt. However, from the amount that did come off, it’s certainly a product that works. You’re meant to exfoliate your skin before applying fake tan anyway so I think this helps you to skip that stage by doing it when you’re removing your old tan. It helps save time when it comes to reapplying a fresh layer of fake tan!

Fake Tan Remover Rose & CaramelI’m definitely a fan of this product and I think it did a fairly good job of removing the tan for the short amount of time I remained in the bath. Next time I am going to take a dip for longer and make sure that I use the exfoliating mitts for the areas that are hard to get rid of.
