With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s another day that we’ll have to spend apart from our loved ones. It’s a shame that we can’t see each other in person but saying that, we should be thankful to have technology so that we can still see each other virtually. This year, celebrating Mother’s Day is something that will also be Sam’s 30th birthday! My partner turns 30, can you believe it? No, I don’t think Sam can either. Anyway, back to Mother’s Day. If you want to celebrate with your mum whilst treating them to a few bottles of wine, then Independent Wines is offering tickets for a virtual premium wine tasting!
The tickets cost £99 per household but you get three bottles of premium, full-sized bottles of wine that are award-winning, from Italy. The sessions will be taking place just before the Mother’s Day weekend, so 11th + 12 March 2021. The focus is on red wines from Northern Italy. If you’re anything like me, red wines are probably my favourite type of wine because each one just varies in deliciousness.
Thursday’s sessions will focus on Pinot Noir from the Dolomite Alps and Friday is dedicated to noble red wines of Piedmont. Wine tasting is a great way to introduce yourself to more wines, especially if you’re not someone who has drank a lot of different varieties. I myself, have turned into a right wine snob over the past couple of years.
