When moving to a new home, there’re numerous items you can obviously do without for a short time. Still, no matter how many little luxuries you put off, there’s always an essential item or two that gets forgotten about. After all, you can get caught up in the excitement of being one of the lucky few moving out that you forget what you really need! What’re these niggling lapses on the list? Perhaps you’re close to remembering what you need, but you just can’t quite put your finger on it. Consequently, here’s a quick list of some of the forgotten interior must-have items you’re your new home.
Mirrors
At first glance, mirrors might not seem so important at all. However, if you’re someone who has a strict grooming regimen, or someone who is into their morning make-up routine, then a mirror is compulsory and must not be forgotten. There’s also the consideration that mirrors are great at reflecting light also. If you’re curtains and windows are open and you want to let some natural sunshine in, then a mirror might just help it travel around the room a bit better. Of course, they can also be highly decorative in their own right too, so keep these things in mind when hunting for your mirror!
Bins
Like mirrors, bins almost feel like a part of the house, and you can cheat yourself into believing that they’re not a product in their own right. However, they do come separately, so a bin is something you’ll need right from the off on moving in day. After all, you don’t want to realise you have nowhere to dispose of leftovers and teabags. The size of your bin should probably depend on if you’re living alone, or if you’re sharing your home or accommodation with others. You’ll also need the plastic bags that fit inside of it too, and perhaps some additional bin related goodies like gloves, pan and brush, etc. In the end, it’s important to ensure you’ve got all the right stuff here!
Table Lamps
Most homes come with ceiling lights already. Perhaps you think they’re enough, but a few problems arise here; they use up a lot of electricity, and unless they come with a switch the enables dimming, they project searing light into any given room they’re in. If you want to work at your desk in some mood lighting, or lighting that is less strenuous on the eyes, then a struggle occurs here. Still, that struggle can be solved with a table lamp from Cox & Cox. Small or large, modern or old fashioned, there’s a wide selection of sizes and styles to choose from. They’ll sit perfectly on a desk when you’re working or on a bedside table when you’re reading or watching Netflix before sleep, and will also be cheaper to run too.
Do you have all of the above in your home? Let me know in the comments below.
