Five Places I’d Like To Visit In The UK

– COLLABORATIVE CONTENT –

Even though I have like a gazillion places I want to visit all over the globe before I reach the age where I can’t travel anymore, there are still places within my own country, that I’ve not yet explored. I would love to be able to own a car within the next four years (I still need to learn yet though) because I’d love for me and Sam to be able to do more road trips spontaneously. Here are five places I’d like to visit in the UK.Travel UK

Edinburgh

I’ve been up to Scotland once and this was a long time ago. We went on a family trip up to somewhere in Scotland where we stayed in these beautiful cottages, surrounded by snow. It was in between Christmas and New Year and I just remember it being SO COLD. However, putting on my big girl’s pants and sucking it up, I really would like to head up to Edinburgh at some point to explore the city but also to enjoy it during the fringe festival. For those that aren’t into their drama, the Edinburgh Fringe is a festival that celebrates all things arts and it’s the largest arts festival in the world. It’s shocking that as a graduate drama student I still haven’t been. Hopefully, this year, I’ll get the chance to do it.

Lake District

Living in the city of London can be tough. It’s always busy and the lifestyle is always running at one hundred miles an hour. Sometimes it’s nice to just get away to the countryside or where there’s just a ton of green. I think the Lake District is a proper family holiday destination but growing up we never went there, so I feel like I’ve been missing out on this place for a long time now. I’d love to go with friends as I think it would be a great place for large groups to go. With so many beautiful sights to behold, Lake District is certainly on my bucket list to visit over the next year or so.

Bath

You can put your season ticket to use when travelling to Bath. I’ve never been but it’s one of those places that looks so majestic in architecture. It’s known commonly for its Roman-built baths and is a World Heritage site. I’ve been gazing at pictures of Bath recently and I’m so intrigued to explore this area. Hopefully, we can get away for a couple of days when we eventually get round to buying a car.

Cotswolds

Cotswolds is a quintessentially British location and I wouldn’t mind living there when I retire. It’s rolling hills and thatched roofed cottages are calling me because I’m a fan of all things rustic and countryside. It’s one I’d love to go to with my parents as I think they’d enjoy it and probably Sam’s parents too. I’m thinking long walks and sitting in front of a log fire reading a book. OMG GET ME THERE RIGHT NOW.

Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

For those who don’t know, I love Geordie Shore. In fact, I love most reality tv shows which involve following the lives of random people who are shameless. Like they will literally do most things on TV and I love it. They’re such a funny bunch and now they’ve made me want to explore their home town of Newcastle. I’m guessing there’s nothing particularly special about the place (sorry for anyone who lives there) but it looks like a place to have a cracking night out. Maybe a road trip with the girls would be good for this one!
